*Killian's POV *
Very few times in my life had I been truly happy, and today was one of them. After hours of talking and drawing patterns in the stars, Emma finally fell asleep in my arms. She was so beautiful. She was amazing, enchanting, clever, and a collection of other things I couldn't put into words. Perfect. That was the only one that came close.
I have no idea how she found my ship, however. How was it even in this realm? She'll tell me eventually, I thought to myself. For now she was asleep with a smile on her face and my ring on her finger. I smiled to myself and drifted off...
*Emma's POV *
I awoke to the sound of thunder and rain hitting the deck. I turned to wake up Killian, only to find him watching me. "What?" I laughed. He just shook his head, grinning. He stood and started to bring me below deck before we got too wet. We never really needed words to convey our thoughts to one another.
I stopped, his hand in mine pulling him to a stop as well. He turned around, confused. I grinned as I put my arms around his neck and pulled his lips to mine. One arm was around my waist, holding me flush against him, his other hand in my hair. I felt like a wild fire in the middle of that thunderstorm. There was no enough when it came to Killian.
The need for oxygen separated only our lips. I decided he should know. "I made a deal with Gold," I said quietly. He pulled away just a bit further to look in my eyes, his full of panic. " Why? What did he want? Whatever it is I'll-" he was frantic so I stopped him midsentence. " Killian, it's all fine. I had to let go of my past. To do that, I gave up the necklace from Neal. I gave up my past for my future, and I couldn't be happier." He looked relieved, but sorry at the same time. I just smiled and kissed him softly. I began to shiver and we resumed our journey below deck.
We got to his quarters to find ourselves completely soaked. I wiped my eyes when he wasn't looking, trying to ensure I didn't have that raccoon look. Killian turned back toward me with a towel and a t shirt in his hand and gave them to me. He blushed and started to the door- always a gentleman. I smiled as I pulled him back. My hands were on his chest, and I met his eyes as I started to undo the buttons of his shirt. When I was finished, I wrapped my arms around him under his wet shirt and put my head on his chest. His arms were around me immediately, almost like a reflex.
I soon began to shake again, but I think Killian got my point. He pulled away from our embrace and pulled my dress over my head in one swift motion. I gasped at the even colder air. He was about to put the t shirt on me, but I stopped him again. I reached behind me, unhooking my bra and letting it fall to the ground as well. My panties soon joined it, but Killian's eyes never left mine. He slid the shirt over my head and handed me some of his boxers.
I towel dried my hair as he changed as well. I had to admit, sweatpants are a good look for him. My head was down, trying to get the back of my hair dry. I looked up to find his face just inches from mine. I took his hand and pulled him to the bed. We both got in the rather small bed and once again, I was in his warm embrace. That was my favorite place to be, in his arms, and that was were I fell asleep once more, my head full of thoughts of our future and a realization. I only slept when I felt safe. And I only felt truly safe with Killian.
*Killian's POV *
I could see it in her eyes as they met mine and fluttered closed. She was happy. She finally trusted me, and she felt safe here with me. I'd die for her, I thought to myself, but right now, I'm going to live for her.
