Emma awoke to the steady rocking of the Jolly Rodger. It'd been one month since the wedding, but she and Killian had decided that their honeymoon would last until the town needed them, and they'd been lucky so far.

*one month to wedding day*

The planning had taken forever, making Emma glad she'd put her mother in charge. But today was the day Snow had designated for wedding dress shopping.

Emma was horrified when she was greeted by more gowns than she could count. She put a smile on her face and greeted her entourage, consisting of her parents, Henry and Regina, and Elsa and Anna.  After about 4 hours of dresses, Emma finally picked one. She knew how Killian loved her in a corset in the Enchanted Forest, so she settled on a satin ballgown with a corset bodice and shorter train. As she would be keeping it at home, they put it in a white dress bag.

She walked home with the gown slung over her shoulder, marveling at its weight. She felt his presence before she felt his hand on her waist. She smiled as he took the gown bag and walked with her in silence.

Back at home, Emma hung the bag on the back of the door, wishing she could wear it now.

He was desperate to see it, but knew he shouldn't ask. Nevertheless, he asked quietly "May I see it, love?" She laughed, as she had already put it on. "Perhaps," she said as she walked into the bedroom.

As he turned around, Killian's eyes filled with tears. He was speechless as she spun in a circle, show casing the gown. "What do you think?" She asked nervously. She was self conscious now, hoping she hadn't chosen the wrong one. She looked back up to him, willing him to answer. All he could do was walk slowly across the room, never breaking eye contact. Killian took her in his arms and kissed her, hoping she knew how beautiful she was. He loved her so much it seemed to overflow sometimes.

Emma couldn't seem to contain herself either.  She backed up as much as she dared, untied the corset and pulled the gown over her head, tossed it over the dresser and walked back into his embrace, kissing him again.

The next month passed in a blur, and suddenly it was the night before the wedding. Emma was staying at her parents, keeping a bit of tradition. But today, she also really needed her mother. She'd gotten some news that morning that she didn't know how to handle. Since it was just her mom and her, now was the time.

She began the conversation slowly. "Mom," she said quietly.  "I need to talk to you." Snow looked concerned as she sat down and said "of course! What is it? Are you getting cold feet?" Emma laughed quietly,  "Not at all. I've never been more sure of anyone, except maybe Henry. But I got some news, and I'm not really sure how to handle it. You're my mom, and even before I knew that, you were my friend I told everything to. Just don't freak out, okay?"

Snow's brow furrowed in response, but she said, "I won't freak out. Whatever it is will be our secret." "Okay," Emma sighed, "I'm pregnant." There was an audible pop as her mother's mouth fell open. "Oh" she gasped. "I know," Emma responded, "great timing right? They said I'm only about 4 weeks, which means I got pregnant the day we got my wedding dress." Emma paused, looking for a way to continue. "How do I tell Killian?"

"Well," Snow sighed, "tell him on your honeymoon,  I suppose. I'm sure he'll be thrilled." Emma nodded, unsure of what to do now. Her mother hugged her, helping her breathe for the first time since she suspected her pregnancy.

Emma couldn't seem to shake her nerves as her mother did her hair and makeup for her wedding. She began to shake as her corset was laced so tight that it was even harder to breathe. She automatically put a protective hand over her belly as it got tighter. Snow covered her daughters hand with her own.

Emma met her mother's eyes, trying to stop the shaking. Her mother smiled, trying to calm her down. She smiled back, taking a deep breath.

The wedding was held at town hall, the only place with the room for everyone Snow invited. As David walked her down the aisle, her eyes met Killian's, both of them fighting back tears.

*the Jolly Rodger, one month later *

Emma rose, knowing today was the day. She had to tell Killian about the baby. In preparation for this conversation she wasn't even a little ready for, she put on her wedding dress. When she got pregnant last time, she didn't plan on keeping the baby, nor did she have anyone to tell.

She heard Killian's footsteps on deck, no doubt bringing home breakfast, and took a deep breath. Killian laughed as Emma met him on deck with a smile. Taking no pause, Emma wrapped herself around him, taking him off guard. She kissed him, and he dropped the breakfast bag on the ground.

"I take it you missed me, love?" "Only a little," she laughed. "But we do need to talk." Emma started pacing the deck, unable to find the right words. Killian was concerned now, "Love? Is everything alright?" She laughed, " depends on how you look at it." She turned away from him, looking at the water, "Killian, I'm pregnant."

His arms were around her in seconds. "That's wonderful, Swan. Did you think I'd be upset?" " Kind of," she said quietly. "Well that's ridiculous.  I couldn't be happier,  love. Now," he said, " If you would be so kind as to fill me in?"

Emma turned to face him, she smiled, finally reassured. She threw herself at him and began to cry. Killian held his true love, not knowing how long she'd been keeping this from him. She then gave him the details- she was now two months along, she got pregnant the day she got her dress, she found out the day before the wedding, and only her mother knew.

After that day, a day filled with laughing and talking, Emma and Killian decided it was time to return to the town.  They also decided they would tell the family about the baby-if her mother hadn't already- but not the rest of the town. Not until they noticed anyway.

And that's when Emma woke up.
