*Emma's POV*

I sat on my parents couch, trying best not to pout. But given the look on my mother's face, I was failing miserably.

"Emma, we've been through this," Snow sighed as she busied herself in the kitchen. "Its tradition. No seeing the bride before the wedding. Now, speaking of, we need to get you to your final dress fitting. So stop pouting and let's go!"

After my fitting, we brought my dress back with me and took a nap back on their sofa. Sleep would pass the time faster.

When I woke up, it was about dinner time. My mom and I made steaks and Regina soon joined us. She was my maid of honor, and we'd both agreed that lady like could wait until tomorrow.

"So, Emma." My mother began. "How are your nerves? Cold feet at all?" Both her and Regina were looking at me with guarded eyes, almost expecting me to freak out.

"You know, it's weird. I want even this sure of Henry for a long time. Killian, though, he came back for me. No one has ever come back..." I trailed off, caught in my thoughts.

*Killian's POV*

The only preparation I got that day, was what Swan called the overprotective dad speech.

"Look, I know I gave my blessing and everything, but I swear..." David proceeded  to talk at me for the next hour as we went get fitted fo tomorrow's festivities.

"Dave," I finally stopped him. "We've been through this, time and time again. Swan is everything to me. I will spend my life trying my best to make her, and her boy for that matter, the happiest family in all the realms."

Later that night, when all was quiet, I did exactly as I was told not to. I snuck into Emma's window. She was asleep,  but she had her nighmare face on.

I knelt down in front of her, whispering her name and brushing hair from her face. Her eyes flew open, full of fear until they registered my face in front her. Nothing was said. She simply pulled me into bed with her, taking her usual spot across my chest, burying her face in my neck. She fell back to sleep quickly,  an I soon followed.
