*Emma's POV *

I woke up the next morning when I felt an sharp, stabbing pain in my lower abdomen, my eyes flying open. I met the cruel eyes of that awful man Blackbeard, my strangled cry of pain instantly waking Killian as the knife twisted in my stomach.

He dragged the knife across my abdomen, making me scream as Killian tackled him away from me. I yelped as I pulled it out, dropping it and putting my shaking hands to my stomach as it gushed bright red blood onto the sheet that covered me. The world was getting fuzzy and dull when Killian was finally next to me again.

"Its okay, love," he assured me though he was crying, pressing his hand over the wound to try to stop the bleeding. "You'll be fine, okay? You have to be okay, just hold on."

"I love you," I whispered weakly, putting my blood covered hand to his cheek and making him meet my eyes. "But I'm not going to be okay this time. Not this time."

"No, Emma, don't say that," he sobbed, holding me in his lap as he tried desperately to stop the bleeding. "Please don't say that. I need you, you have to stay with me. We're supposed to get our happy ending, remember?"

"We got so close, didn't we?" I tried to smile, running my thumb along his cheekbone which just smeared blood on him. "We almost had it all."

"We did," he said, trying to breathe. "We had each other, and we were going to have a baby. Please don't leave me, Emma, we can still have that you just have to stay."

"I'm so cold, Killian," I said in barely a whisper, my hand sliding down to his chest with a trail of blood behind it. As my eyes fluttered closed. "And so tired. I'm just going to sleep for a while, okay?"

"No!" He yelled, trying to shake me awake but I couldn't make my eyes open. "Emma, please! Don't do this! Just open your eyes, please! Come back to me!"

"I love you," I managed to breathe out before going completely limp in his arms.

*David's POV*

"No!" Snow and I heard Hook yelling as we ran down the hall towards their room. "Emma, please! Don't do this! Just open your eyes, please! Come back to me!"

We burst through the door and nearly froze in shock. Blackbeard was beaten nearly to death in the middle of the floor, unconscious in a pool of his own blood, but what we saw when we looked at the other side of the room was like a living nightmare. Hook was in the middle of the bed with Emma limp in his lap, both of them covered in blood as he sobbed with his forehead on her chest.

"Go get the guards and Regina," I told Snow and she quickly ran out as she started weeping. I walked slowly to Hook and put my hand on his shoulder, making him flinch and clutch Emma tighter. "Hook, you have to let go of her so we can try to help her."

"No!" He screamed out a sob as Snow and Regina ran in with the guards on their heels. "I'll never let her go! She's everything! She dies, I die!"

"I got it," Regina said quietly, sitting on the bed in front of him as I pulled my wife into my arms to comfort her. "Alright, Hook, you don't have to let her go. But I need to know where she's hurt so I can try to help her before we lose her forever, okay? So just show me and hold her close while I try."

He didn't look up but nodded, shifting the blood soaked sheet enough to expose the deep wound that nearly cut our daughter in half and just holding her to him. Snow let out a small scream, hiding her face in my chest as even Regina was taken aback. She took a breath and I watched as she waved a glowing hand over her, slowly sealing her pale skin back together. Emma's breathing was still extremely shallow and she was as white as the sheets should have been.

"Come on, baby," Hook whispered, sounding completely broken as he rested his forehead on hers. "Come back to me, Swan. I'm here, just open those beautiful eyes of yours for me."

"It may take a while," Regina said quietly. "Why don't you clean both of you up while she heals inside. That way if she wakes up-"

"When," he cut her off quickly. "When she wakes up."

"When she wakes up," Regina nodded but sounded uncertain. "Then she can just rest instead of trying to clean herself up, because we all know how stubborn she was-"

"Is," he insisted again. "She is the most stubborn woman I've ever met, and that won't change."

"Right," she assured him, slowly putting her hand to Emma's stomach. "And if you're lucky the baby will be alright too. Once Emma's stronger I'll be able to tell you more in regards to that."

"We can make another baby," he said quietly. "There's no making another Emma."

*Killian's POV*

After everyone else was gone I brought Emma to the bathroom, laying in the waiting hot water with her against my chest. I slowly wiped the blood from both of us, the water turning bright red itself as I carefully carried her back out.

I dressed her in only one of my shirts, tucking her into the freshly made bed before pulling on loose pants of my own. Her skin was ice cold when I crawled in bed with her, gently wrapping myself around her as she lay on her back. I moved her arm around my neck and lay my head on her chest, crying quietly as I listened to the slow and weak beating of her heart.
