"So that's it huh?" Wei Wuxian smirked, slapping the red bound marriage registration in his palm.

"It's a beginning," Lan Wangji solemnly replied.

"You weren't serious about all the physical stuff, right? You're not attracted towards me. You told me yourself," Wei Wuxian reminded.

"Mianmian is a psychiatrist. She isn't just a psychiatrist. She's coming to Beijing to conduct an eight-week workshop on behavioural therapy and diagnostics at the Beijing Medical College. Your task is to fool her into believing that we are old lovers," Lan Wangji explained.

"When you say old, what exactly do you mean? How long does your family think you've been with this bunny of yours?" Wei Wuxian asked.

"Six years," Lan Wangji informed.

"But you haven't actually been with him that long?" Wei Wuxian asked.

"He approached me then. Till three years back I didn't know that he is bisexual, and I could have a chance. He was with a guy then. When they broke up, he chose to date a woman. That woman broke up with him last week," Lan Wangji explained.

"Does he know how you feel?" Wei Wuxian asked.

"We have some history. I hurt him once. But that was even before six years. He didn't recognize me then and I hope he doesn't connect the man I am to the boy I was," Lan Wangji confessed.

"I get that. I didn't want you to sleep with him while being married to me because I don't want to be seen as a joke and it's only three months," Wei Wuxian clarified.

"I have no intention of approaching him while being married to you. I don't want him to misunderstand me," Lan Wangji confessed.

"What about your sister-in-law. She'll know," Wei Wuxian pointed out.

"She'll know that we have been together for six years, the same thing that I'll tell Mo Xuanyu. That's enough time to grow close and move apart," Lan Wangji justified.

"Fine. Hold my hand," Wei Wuxian urged.

"What?" Lan Wangji startled.

"We are a newly married couple taking a stroll in the park. You are supposed to be all lovey-dovey towards me," Wei Wuxian demanded.

"No one's looking," Lan Wangji pointed out.

"That's the best time to practice, when you have the freedom to fuck up. Why are we strolling in the park to begin with?" Wei Wuxian recalled.

"I sent Xue Yang to get your ring. He said he'll meet us here," Lan Wangji explained.

"Why don't we get the ring ourselves?" Wei Wuxian asked.

"Won't you feel uncomfortable, I mean, with me buying you a wedding ring. I don't expect you to pretend in front of anyone other than Mianmian," Lan Wangji confessed.

"She's going to be around for eight weeks, right?" Wei Wuxian asked.

"Mm" Lan Wangji nodded.

"You expect that we will never go out or go for shopping in the eight weeks and she will never introduce me to anyone as her 'sister-in-law'?" Wei Wuxian asked, raising a brow. The gesture along with his pouty lips sent a jolt to Lan Wangji's manhood and he gulped.

"What are you suggesting?" Lan Wangji asked, his throat perceptibly dry.

"My reputation as a heterosexual male got ruined the moment I signed that contract. It will always be on my profile that I was married to a man, even if it is for three months. If the nature of the contract comes out, given my current status, I will be charged with marital fraud. Am I correct, O great Hanguangjun?" Wei Wuxian reminded.
