"Call me Baba," Lan Qiren insisted, feeding his A'Ying and A'Yuan fruit he had himself cut. They were symmetrical but smudged. The apples were browning and the oranges were bleeding but Wei Wuxian loved every bite of it. Xue Yang sat at a distance, munching on a whole apple, observing the scene before him. So this was Shifu, the man Wangji owed his scars to, the scars for which he refused to participate in swimming held during college picnics. He had always thought the man to be ruthless but unfortunately he was adorable and doted on his 'son'  Lan Qiren was still under the impression that he was A'Ying's boyfriend and A'Yuan's father.

"Baba," Wei Wuxian said after some contemplation. "Baba, I need to clear something up," he said.

"Yes A'Ying, what is it?" Lan Qiren asked.

"It's regarding A'Yang. He..." Wei Wuxian's gaze shifted to where Xue Yang was sitting. Xue Yang gave an encouraging nod. He wondered how the old man was going to deal with the news. "He's not my boyfriend or my husband. I am in the process of divorcing my husband and Xue Yang is supporting me in this difficult time. I am sort of hiding here because I fear that he may take A'Yuan from me because we co-adopted him and he is better off," Wei Wuxian explained.

"Oh," Lan Qiren eyed Xue Yang with approval. "He's a great friend then," he commended.

Xue Yang smiled widely. 'It's time, ' he thought. "Actually I am Lan Wangji's friend, his best friend . I just don't approve of how Lan Wangji abused A'Ying's affection and disrespected their marriage. So I'm team A'Ying. I think Lan Wangji deserves a lesson, don't you?" He sneered.

Lan Qiren was stock still. "Did you say Lan Wangji?" He verified.

"Yes, Shufu," Xue Yang smiled brightly but it was more scary than joyful.

"A'Yang, it's not Ji ge's fault that his first love came back," Wei Wuxian argued.

"Wangji's bunny isn't his first love. It's the boy he raped in his adolescence and has been searching for him to make it up to him any way he can," Xue Yang informed.

Lan Qiren looked down and missed the look of disbelief on Wei Wuxian's face.

"Stop lying. The joke's not funny. My Ji ge would never break the law," he defended.

"Why do you think he was so insistent on going to the police after he assaulted you?" Xue Yalng pointed out.

"He was drugged. So may be it was a similar experience earlier. My Ji ge is not a bad man. And if he is willing to compensate his bunny by spending his entire life with him, I respect him even more. May be that's why he wanted to terminate the contract. He wanted to compensate me too. But I was a willing participant. What if it was the same with Mo Xuanyu?" Wei Wuxian argued.

"Xiao Tuzi was twelve. Lan Wangji was fourteen. His Little bunny was underage but he was at the age of consent. It's statuatory rape even if he were a willing participant," Xue Yang argued back.

"And Ji ge is paying for that with himself, his love, devotion, commitment, everything," Wei Wuxian pointed out.

Xue Yang shook his head. "No, not his love.
Mo Xuanyu is an imposter and a liar.  Wangji is punishing himself by believing Mo Xuanyu's lies. The truth is that there is only one person he has ever loved and that's you," he informed.

That revelation took Wei Wuxian's breath away and he wobbled. Lan Qiren reached out to steady him. Wei Wuxian shook his head, "You can't know that," he challenged.

"I'm his best friend. I know him inside out. I know that his childhood name is Lan Zhan and his bunny was called A'Ying," Xue Yang revealed.

At that revelation Wei Wuxian's world started spinning and he lost consciousness.
