"Congratulations," Xue Yang greeted Wei Wuxian. It had been less than two days since the court hearing. The Jiangs had contacted Wei Wuxian regarding payment of dues as well as the transfer of shares. Wei Wuxian had however deferred everything to the decision of his husband.

"You are supposed to receive a mental damage fee, compensation as well as all that is due to you. If you want we can charge the Jiangs with child abuse and send them to jail as well," Lan Wangji explained.

"What's due to me is my brainchild. I founded Jiang software because of my love for gaming. The operating systems available in the market failed to keep up with the evolving system requirements of modern gaming. So I devised an operating system with optimal gaming requirements and an integrated interface to download and enjoy various high quality game. I don't mean minecraft or spider solitaire. I'm talking abput serious gaming," Wei Wuxian explained to Xue Yang.

"Why don't you tell him?" Xue Yang prompted Lan Wangji.

"Tell me what?" Wei Wuxian asked, turning to the man he was married to.

"I'm in the process of acquiring Jiang Software. Remember the clause about helping you start your own company. I thought that it would be better to start on the foundation of what you once built, rather than from scratch," Lan Wangji explained.

"Oh, that's very thoughtful but that's not what I wanted," Wei Wuxian reminds.

"Can you be grateful sometimes for the things done for you?" Lan Wangji challenges.

"Of course, of course. Thank you," Wei Wuxian replied. Then something struck him. "If you're buying Jiang Software off then the money they are giving me is your money!" He realized.

"And your point is?" Lan Wangji countered.

"I can't benefit both ways," he regretted.

"You're getting the compensation that is due to you. I am buying my spouse a company with my hard earned money. Don't confuse the two," Lan Wangji argued.

"Hey, think of it this way. He named an entire company after his white moonlight. He should buy a company for his spouse as well," Xue Yang comforted.

"It's not a competition," he muttered turning around and walking away.

"He's got a chip on his shoulder," Xue Yang told Lan Wangji.

"It's not my fault. The Jiangs have deprived him to a point that he is scared of feeling entitled. It's going to take a long time for him to accept being spoiled by me," he admitted.

"Are you going to? I mean spoil him. He isn't your Yinger after all," Xue Yang reminded Lan Wangji.

"I... It sounds stupid now but I have realized that what I felt for Yinger may have not been love at all. It was attraction, lust and a lot of guilt," he admitted.

"What do you feel for Wei Wuxian?" Xue Yang asked, turning serious.

Lan Wangji shook his head. "I don't know and I am not ready to find out. But we are married and I have time. And since we have decided not to get divorced, we have our entire lifetimes," he pointed out.

Xue Yang nodded. Wei Wuxian came out of the kitchen where he had gone and handed a box to his husband. "I packed in some cold noodles for lunch," he informed.

Lan Wangji accepted with a smile. Xue Yang's eyes glinted. "You're not stealing my lunch today," Lan Wangji warned.

"I don't want to steal it. I'll just taste it. My tongue's still burning from how much spice there was right now in these dumplings," Xue Yang commented, patting his stomach.

It was Friday morning and they were gathered in Lan Wangji's living room. Xue Yang had come over as he was wont to most mornings. Today was special because it was the date of Xiao Xingchen's interview. "Don't make it too obvious," Wei Wuxian warned.

"I'm not going to tell Xiao Xingchen that here is your offer letter. The boss's wife recommended you," he joked.

"He is sincere and honest to a fault," Wei Wuxian explained.

"Then he is extremely welcome to Y-Tech. Wait, is he a loaner?" Xue Yang asked.

"That depends on him. He did say that he would join company if I were to ever start another but I think that was more of a long term plan," Wei Wuxian explained.

"So I should hire him on probation for the next three months," Xue Yang interpreted.

"No one is going to resign from Y-Tech to work for Jiang Software," Wei Wuxian exclaimed.

"Time will tell," Lan Wangji interrupted. "For now we are off to work. Why don't you go to the storeroom and look at the surprise I got for you yesterday," he offered, dangling a pair of keys before him.

Wei Wuxian frowned and accepted the key. He then walked over to the storeroom looking back to find Lan Wangji still standing patiently. He had a nervous expectation on his face. Wei Wuxian turned the lock and inside was a wall sized open cabinet with shelves full of wrapped presents. Wei Wuxian scanned the labels. "Happy sixteen Y, with love ", "Happy 20th Y, with love ", There were gifts upto the thirtieth.

"How did you like the gift?" Lan Wangji asked from outside the room.

Wei Wuxian was puzzled and looked around. On the opposite wall was a 55 inch screen connected to the latest gaming consoles. Wei Wuxian wiped the tears that came out unconsciously and turned the console one. The logo of Jiang Software filled the screen. Wei Wuxian laughed. Here he was raving about the positives of his brainchild and his Ji ge had already bought it. "It's great," he replied, sniffing away more tears.

"A'Xian," Lan Wangji sounded worried as he entered the room and wrapped Wei Wuxian in his arms. "What's wrong? Why are you crying? Are you claustrophobic?" he asked with worry.

Xue Yang followed Lan Wangji and tapped on the latter's shoulder pointing to the shelves full of gifts that were never given.

"Yangyang, will you do me a favour?" Lan Wangji asked with a soft voice.

"You know I can't deny you when you call me Yangyang. What is it?" he asked.

"Take these gifts and give them away. There's no need for them anymore," he explained.

Wei Wuxian pushed Lan Wangji and shook his head. "No, don't. What if Mo Xuanyu comes back? What if he gets divorced? These are gifts that you hand selected for him over the years. Don't give them away to others," he urged.

"Mo Xuanyu married the man he chose. I never expressed my feelings, remember. I don't want to break a home. My father cheated on my mother when she was pregnant with me. That broke our home. She died when I was four. My father died when I was sixteen but I had seen more of my mother than my father. I won't cheat on you, not even if it is him," Lan Wangji promised.

Wei Wuxian smiled through his tears and nodded, "Yangyang, can you get a storage unit and keep these there?" he requested of Xue Yang. Then he turned to Lan Wangji and cupped his face in his hand. "Yes, seeing the gifts you bought for your lover hurts but it's not the gifts. It's the thoughts you put into it. When this wall is filled with gifts you pick up for me with your own hands is the day that I will let you give these gifts away. And yes, it is a competitiion, not for your assets but for your affection," Wei Wuxian explained.

Lan Wangji nodded and wrapped his spouse in a hug. He turned to Xue Yang. "I'll tell Nie Xiong that you'll be late," he said, taking his abrupt leave.
