It was Friday night and Wei Wuxian had dragged his husband to the Dafan bar to chill and wind down. “Ji ge, you can‘t be serious all the time and you can’t stay in the fear of bars either. Something good did happen that night. Trying to help you helped me overcome my own hiccups with my own sexuality,” Wei Wuxian reminded.
“You do enjoy yourself with me, right?” Lan Wangji confirmed.
“Of course Ji ge. Why do you even doubt your skills?” Wei Wuxian stated.
Lan Wangji looked down. Wei Wuxian was about to worry when he noticed that Lan Wangji's ears had turned red. "Are you blushing, Lan Wangji?" He teased.
"Am I interrupting?" A voice startled them.
Wei Wuxian turned to find a middle aged man who seemed a bit familiar. "Hello. I am Rong Li from the Jin Mansion. I personally tend to master Zixuan," the man informed.
Wei Wuxian nodded in understanding. "Did Mrs. Jin sent you?" Lan Wangji asked.
The man nodded and forwarded a Manila envelope towards Wei Wuxian . "She said to only hand it over to Master Wei," he pointed out.
Wei Wuxian nodded, accepting the envelope and passing it to Lan Wangji. "He's my legal counsel," Wei Wuxian informed.
The man nodded and left. Wei Wuxian turned to Lan Wangji. "A'Jie kept her promise, it seems," he informed.
"Mm," Lan Wangji nodded. "I'll still run a diagnostic on the flash drive before opening it. We can't be sure if it is Mrs. Jin who sent it to us," He reminded.
"What's with all the seriousness?" Xue Yang asked, appearing out of nowhere.
"What are you doing here?" Lan Wangji asked.
"Huh.... Huh, what am I.... What am I doing here? Is this the same Lan Wangji who was clinging to me like magnet? I should be the one to ask what are you doing here? Don't you have a case to work on or a real estate to acquire or a game to design?" Xue Yamg asked.
Lan Wangji glared at him. "Game... What game? And since when do you invest in real estate?" Wei Wuxian asked.
"Oops. I spoke too much. I'm with Wen Qing and Mianmian. If you have a problem you can go home. We're here to PARTYEE," Xue Yang said, swinging back the shot he held in his hand.
Lan Wangji looked thoughtful. He then turned to Wei Wuxian. "I founded Y-Tech. It's named after Mo Xuanyu. That's why I didn't want you to know. Y-Tech has a subsidiary - Y-Properties. It's a real estate company," he informed.
"Oh you silly man. Why can't you tell me that you named all your properties after your first love? You really think I'll feel jealous or insecure! Come on. I came into this knowing that you have a past. So why should I feel bad?" Wei Wuxian claimed.
Lan Wangji looked surprised. "You're alright with most of my assets bearing someone else's initial?" He remarked in amazement.
"The one thing that matters is our certificate. The names on it are ours, right?" Wei Wuxian pointed out.
Lan Wangji nodded. A part of him chastised himself. Wei Wuxian dealt with their relationship in a far more matured manner while he was being jealous of a history Wei Wuxian didn't even remember.
"Wei Wuxian," a loud voice sounded at the entrance of the club.
Wei Wuxian's eyes widened in surprise as he pulled Lan Wangji by the elbow and hid behind him. "What is it?" Lan Wangji asked.
"Two weeks, you've been gone for two entire weeks and you don't bother to call me and when I call you, you record it for evidence and sic your lawyer on me!" Jiang Cheng explained. He wore a geometric printed casual shirt over blacl jeans and looked nothing like how his parents expected him to.
"Aiyo A'Cheng, didn't you only call to scold me for being gay?" Wei Wuxian countered.
"I called because that Qin Su shouldn't be the one telling me that my brother is gay. Now stop hiding behind random people and let me see you," Jiang Cheng ordered.
"Aiyo A'Cheng, this isn't random people. It's my husband, Hanguangjun," Wei Wuxian revealed.
Jiang Cheng blinked. "I expected Hanguangjun to be older," he confessed.
"I'm older than Wei Wuxian," Lan Wangji declared.
"By two years," Wei Wuxian argued.
"Only two? Are you sure?" Lan Wangji asked.
"Yup. It's written on our certificate," Wei Wuxian informed.
"How are you feeling about Wednesday?" Jiang Cheng asked.
"If you're here to talk me out of it, you're crazy," Wei Wuxian declared.
Jiang Cheng shook his head. "I have the recording of when Mom threatened you with Zhou Ma's treatment to get the Power of Attorney. I also have your medical record since childhood and the proposal you drew for Jiang Software right out of college. I also have proof that the data was leaked by a Lin Sisi, a quality tester, who was sent to Jins on the request of Jin Guanshan," Jiang Cheng enumerated, handing Wei Wuxian a heavy box. Wei Wuxian opened the lid to find a hard drive
"You've been busy," Wei Wuxian remarked.
"Yangyang resigned," Jiang Cheng informed.
"She has a seven year old to take care of. She needs more security," Wei Wuxian consoled.
Jiang Cheng nodded. "But she went to Y-Tech. Such a large organization, I'm afraid that she'll be lost," Jiang Cheng voiced.
"Did you tell her about your engagement?" Wei Wuxian asked with a knowing look.
Jiang Cheng huffed but nodded after a pause. "Why did I have to be a Jiang?" He regretted.
Wei Wuxian patted his back. "She'll be fine. And not being colleagues will give you more opportunities to discuss non-work stuff, like food, movies, games, likes, dislikes. You can date properly," Wei Wuxian pointed out.
"I'm engaged," Jiang Cheng reminded.
"According to whom?" Wei Wuxian accosted.
Jiang Cheng nodded. "You're right. I'll talk to her, ask her out," he considered.
"Remember she talked about an older sister she lost touch with? " Wei Wuxian asked.
"Yes, Mianmian," Jiang Cheng recalled .
"How do you remember the name?" Wei Wuxian startled.
"You're good with figures and numbers. I'm good with names and faces," Jiang Cheng retorted.
Right then there came the sound of loud cheering. Wei Wuxian looked to fibd Xue Yang dancing on a table and Wen Qing clapping loudly. "That's the woman in pink, my sister-in-law. She's married to my brother-in-law, Xichen," Wei Wuxian explained.
Jiang Cheng looked surprised. "That's Mianmian?" He asked.
Wei Wuxian nodded. Jiang Cheng gave him a hug and went over to the other table to introduce himself.
"I misjudged your relationship," Lan Wangji confessed.
"A'Cheng has his moments but most of the times he is like his mother with his father's heart however. I don't have many grudges against Jiang Fengmian. Just one. He doesn't stand up for what he believes is right and thus ends up in cahoots with the wrong," Wei Wuxian replied.
"Do you want to drink?" Lan Wangji asked.
Wei Wuxian shook his head. "Let's head home. I have better things in mind," he smirked.
Lan Wangji's ears turned red again but he reached out to hold Wei Wuxian's hands and towed him home.
