It was late at night. Really late at night. But Finn couldn't sleep, it was almost like something was calling to him. He stood up and rubbed his head, he looked out the window and realized there was a beautiful melody outside.
He peaked outside and realized there was someone sitting on a bench, he squinted and realized it was Boxten!
What was Boxten doing up at an hour like this? He slowly left his room, tip-toed down the hallway, and reached the front door. He knew that he probably shouldn't be doing this but his curiosity was killing him!
It was extremely dark. He could barely see his hands! Maybe it'd be best to turn back– he heard Boxten's music again.
Finn smiled and followed the melody, it was like a light guiding him. As long as he listened closely, he wouldn't get lost.
He eventually saw Boxten, he was illuminated by a street light. He stood still for a moment and just enjoyed the music; he slowly stepped closer and sat on the bench, Boxten didn't seem to notice as his eyes were closed.
He scooted closer and tapped him, he didn't even react. Finn put his hand on Boxten's shoulder and realized he was freezing; he quickly grabbed on to him and shook him a bit; making Boxten finally open his eyes.
"Huh? Finn? What are you doing out here?" Boxten said with a smile as his music stopped playing; Finn mentally frowned at it but focused on the question.
"Well I saw you out here and I got curious." Boxten hummed in reply and looked at the sky, "Why were you so cold?" Boxten looked towards Finn, who was hanging on to his arm.
"Ah. My record player is broken, so every time I play music it overheats. Usual cold areas help." Boxten explained as he scooted Finn closer to himself.
"But now that you mention it, I think it's time we both go inside. Come on." Boxten stood up and linked their arms together, slowly walking towards 'home'.
It was a silent walk back, Boxten huffed and turned his music back on; much to Finn's satisfaction.
"It's pretty cool how you can just play music.." Finn whispered to him, making Boxten chuckle, "Well I think it's cool how you know so much about sea-life. It's really cute." Boxten held on to Finn tighter after saying this and continued to stare forward.
"i-I could tell you about some facts.. i-if you'd like!" Finn felt his face getting warmer as he looked off to the side; embarrassed of his stuttering.
Boxten looked at him and smiled.
"I'd love that."
