"I told you to knock it off! You're gonna get me caught." Shrimpo fumbled with his shotgun, he turned around and stared at his now dead 'Friend'

Goob.

Goob was missing an eye and his stomach was ripped open, his organs on display for anyone's view. Goob couldn't talk, but he still showed signs of actually still being himself.

Goob waved his arms around and smiled, Shrimpo sighed and messed with some spare bullets in his pocket.

He quickly stopped once he heard footsteps, Goob turned serious and signaled that he was going to go check it out. Shrimpo nodded and whispered a small 'be safe' as Goob left.

Those words would have made Goob's heart beat if his heart was still working – in which it wasn't. Sure, he was a zombie but he still contained that crush on Shrimpo he had from when he could still breathe.

He knew Shrimpo didn't feel the same though. It hurt. But as long as he was by Shrimpo's side; it was gonna be okay.

He made sure that it was clear before heading back to Shrimpo, Shrimpo grinned at him and slowly sat up; he threw the shotgun over his shoulder and let Goob lead the way.

Goob and Shrimpo had been going through this infection perfectly. They were somehow an amazing duo, nobody knew how the infection started but nobody really cared. The only thing that mattered was staying alive.

Goob grabbed on to Shrimpo's arm as they walked outside, everything thing that once was alive was now dead. It was a sad sight but this was their lives now.

Shrimpo looked ahead and realized a hoard was coming, over 100 zombies; charging towards the two.

Shrimpo looked up at Goob and playfully rolled his eyes.

"You better not let me die."

Goob smiled and made an x on his chest and pointed towards the sky, a way of saying 'I'd have to be gone first for that to happen'.

Shrimpo giggled and got his shotgun ready.

"Let's do this Craft boy."
