It all started when Gempa, the ever-diligent brother, had forced Halilintar to check on Solar. Halilintar had been reluctant, knowing Solar often got up to strange experiments, but duty called. He knocked on Solar's door and entered without waiting for a response.
"Solar?" Halilintar called out, his voice gruff, annoyed that he had to be there.
But before he could even reach the middle of the room, a strange gas started spreading around him. He coughed, feeling a burning sensation in his throat. His vision blurred as he staggered forward, trying to make sense of what was happening. Solar's panicked voice called out, "Hali! Wait—" but it was too late. Everything went dark.
When Halilintar woke up, he found himself in his bed. It was the weekend. His head throbbed, and he tried to piece together what had happened. Before he could remember, Duri burst into the room.
"Hali's awake!" Duri shouted with excitement, alerting everyone.
Soon enough, all his brothers were there, surrounding him with concerned expressions. Blaze, Taufan, and Ice asked if he was okay, while Gempa made him sit up and handed him water. Halilintar, however, was annoyed by all the attention.
"I'm fine!" he barked, brushing them off.
Turning to Solar, who stood at the back of the room looking guilty, Hali glared. "Why was there gas in your room?"
Solar crossed his arms defensively. "It wasn't my fault you came in uninvited! I was working with chemicals!"
Before Solar could finish, Gempa's stern voice cut in. "Solar, you're grounded for experimenting with untested chemicals! You almost hurt your brother."
The brothers erupted into their usual bickering. Hali and Solar went at it, arguing back and forth until Hali suddenly coughed, cutting the fight short. Gempa immediately scolded him.
"Drink some water, Hali! You need to take care of yourself."
Solar, feeling guilt weigh on him, stayed silent as the others went back to their tasks. Hali continued to cough, his body feeling weaker by the minute. The usual strength in his voice wavered as his vision spun again.
By the time lunch came, Halilintar felt sluggish. When Taufan called him for food, he tried to stand but found his legs wobbling beneath him. Before he could take a step, his knees buckled, and he collapsed.
"Whoa! Hali!" Ice rushed forward, catching him just before he hit the ground.
Everyone gasped, panicking. Blaze was by his side in an instant, and Gempa knelt beside him, feeling his forehead.
"Hali? Can you hear us?" Gempa asked, voice laced with worry.
"I'm fine," Hali muttered, but his voice was too weak to be convincing. As soon as he said it, his world went dark, the last thing he remembered was hearing his brothers calling his name.
When Halilintar woke up again, he found himself back in his room. This time, the atmosphere was different. His body felt warm, his head spinning. He saw Taufan and Duri standing beside his bed, talking in hushed voices.
"Here, I brought you soup," Taufan said with a worried tone, placing the bowl on the bedside table.
Halilintar blinked, his vision still hazy. "I don't want it..." he mumbled, but something about the way he said it was off. His voice wasn't gruff—it was childish, almost like a whine.
Both Taufan and Duri stared at him in shock.
"Did he just...?" Taufan whispered to Duri, who nodded slowly.
