In the dark recesses of Solar's mind, the dream began. Solar and Duri were standing in an unfamiliar place, surrounded by thick, twisting shadows. Everything was hazy and threatening, like an endless storm was rolling in, swallowing the world around them. Solar felt his heart pound wildly as he glanced at Duri beside him, his usually cheerful brother now looking tense and ready to fight.

The shadows grew closer, reaching toward them like sinister claws. Solar tried to use his light powers, but nothing happened. He panicked, glancing down at his hands, desperate to protect them both—but all he could do was watch as the darkness crept closer.

"It's okay, Solar. I'll protect you," Duri said softly, determination in his eyes.

"No! Duri, don't!" Solar reached out, trying to pull him back, but Duri stepped forward. The shadows lashed out, and before Solar could stop him, Duri took the hit, shielding Solar with his own body.

"Duri!" Solar's scream tore through the dream, but Duri only looked back at him with a sad smile, his figure already fading, slipping from Solar's grasp.

Solar fell to his knees as Duri collapsed in front of him, breathing shallowly. Solar's hands trembled as he reached out, tears streaming down his face.

"Duri, please... please, no. You can't... don't leave me," Solar's voice cracked, choked with desperation. "I need you. I can't—"

Duri's hand lifted shakily, reaching for Solar's cheek. "I'd do it all again... to keep you safe." His words were a faint whisper, each word a knife slicing through Solar's heart. "But you... have to go on. Be brave... and remember... I love you."

With that, Duri's hand dropped, his eyes closed, and his breath left him. The silence in the dream was absolute, a cold emptiness that wrapped around Solar like chains. He screamed Duri's name, his voice raw and broken, but there was no response. Only silence.

Solar woke, he was drenched in sweat, his chest heaving as if he couldn't catch his breath. He gripped his sheets tightly, trying to shake off the remnants of the nightmare, but his hands wouldn't stop trembling. His heart raced as he tried to remind himself that it was just a dream—only a dream—but the image of Duri's fading smile lingered in his mind, refusing to fade.

Solar choked on a sob, clamping a hand over his mouth to stifle the sounds, but his body shook with panic. He pulled his knees to his chest, burying his face as he tried to steady his breathing, but each time he closed his eyes, he saw Duri's lifeless form.

Unable to bear the silence, he stumbled out of bed and down the hall, his legs barely holding him as he headed toward Duri's room. The door was slightly ajar, and Solar pushed it open just enough to see Duri, sleeping peacefully.

But the sight didn't calm him. Instead, a fresh wave of panic crashed over him, and he let out a strangled gasp, feeling like he was drowning in his own emotions. He turned to leave, but his legs gave out, and he collapsed just outside Duri's door, a broken sob tearing from his chest.

That sound must have woken Duri because, a moment later, the door creaked open, and Duri's sleepy face peered down at him. "Solar...? What's wrong?"

Solar looked up, his vision blurred with tears. He wanted to say something, to tell Duri how grateful he was, to apologize for being weak, but all he could do was sob, the weight of his nightmare crashing over him.

Duri knelt beside him, wrapping his arms around Solar and pulling him close. "It's okay, Solar. I'm here. I'm okay," he whispered, his voice gentle as he rubbed soothing circles on Solar's back. "I'm not going anywhere, alright?"

Solar clung to him, unable to stop the tears from falling as he buried his face in Duri's shoulder. He felt like a child, lost and broken, but Duri's warmth and calm voice slowly began to soothe the pain.

They stayed like that for a long time, with Duri holding him, whispering comforting words until Solar's breathing evened out, and his tears finally slowed. Exhausted, Solar let out a shaky sigh, his grip loosening slightly as Duri continued to hold him, patiently waiting for his little brother to find peace.

Eventually, Solar fell asleep in Duri's arms, the warmth and safety of his brother's embrace chasing away the remnants of the nightmare. Duri held him close, a small smile on his face as he promised silently to always protect Solar, no matter what.
