The day was supposed to be a simple mission, one where each brother's role was carefully mapped out. Solar, though, had decided to take matters into his own hands and completely changed the plan. He thought he knew better—he always did. After all, he was the youngest but the smartest, right? He'd been confident his approach would succeed.
It didn't.
Back at home, an awkward tension settled in the living room. Solar sat on one end, arms crossed and jaw set, looking like he didn't care. Blaze paced back and forth, clearly fuming, while Gempa just watched Solar with disappointed eyes, saying nothing.
Taufan finally broke the silence with a nervous chuckle, "Uh, anyone want to explain what went wrong?"
Blaze stopped pacing and turned to Solar, his face red with frustration. "I'll tell you what went wrong—Mr. Genius over here decided he could handle things all by himself and made a mess of everything!"
Solar's face hardened. "I was just trying to get it done quicker. I thought you'd all appreciate that!"
Gempa took a deep breath and stepped in, keeping his voice calm but firm. "Solar, we all work together as a team. You can't just ignore the plan we all agreed on. It affects everyone."
Solar scoffed, rolling his eyes. "I don't see why it's such a big deal. So, I tried something different. Who cares?"
"We care!" Blaze shouted. "You made a mess, and then we all had to clean it up while you just sat there like nothing happened!"
Solar shot back, his voice dripping with sarcasm, "Oh, sorry, I didn't realize my every move needed your approval, Blaze."
That set Blaze off, and before anyone could stop him, he stomped forward, glaring at Solar. "You're so arrogant! Maybe if you'd listen to anyone other than yourself, you wouldn't keep screwing things up!"
Duri tugged on Blaze's arm, trying to pull him back. "Blaze, calm down," he murmured, worried, while Ice gently pulled Solar back, his quiet presence attempting to diffuse the tension.
Taufan tried to lighten things, his voice coming out tense. "Hey, it's okay. We can talk this out—"
But Solar cut him off, his face flushed with anger. "Why don't you all just admit it? You think I'm useless. Nothing I do is ever good enough for any of you!"
Hali, who had been watching from the corner with his arms folded, gave a long, tired sigh. He could tell this was getting out of hand. Blaze was too heated, Solar was too defensive, and everyone was caught in the crossfire.
"Enough," Hali said, his voice firm. The room went quiet as he turned to Solar, his expression unreadable. "Go to your room, Solar."
Solar hesitated, glaring at Hali. "And who put you in charge?"
Hali's eyes narrowed, and his voice dropped to a dangerously low tone. "I'm not in the mood to argue. Go. Now."
Solar's fists clenched, his anger boiling over. Without another word, he stormed out, slamming the door behind him. Blaze muttered something under his breath and stomped out in the other direction, too angry to stay in the same room. The rest of the brothers stood there, unsure of what to do, looking between Hali and the closed door.
After a moment, Hali sighed again, running a hand through his hair. "I'll handle it."
As he made his way up to Solar's room, Hali tried to steel himself, knowing this wasn't going to be an easy conversation. Solar was stubborn—just like him—and wouldn't let his guard down without a fight.
