Natasha is flying the plane back, this time Tony is inside the jet. Steve, Tony, and Elizabeth are keeping a close eye on their captive. Loki. Then, out of nowhere, lighting starts to emerge. Loki visibly looks worried and Elizabeth catches this.
"What, scared of a little lighting?" Steve asks.
"I'm not to overly found of what follows," he says.
Then, before anyone can do anything, a man with long blond hair bursts into the jet and takes Loki. Tony follows immediately then followed by Elizabeth. Before Steve jumps, Natasha warns him, but he doesn't listen.
Elizabeth is quick to her feet and quickly tracks him down on the top of the mountain. She get's him back into cuffs and knocks him out. She picks up his body and makes her way to the rest of the team with Loki draped over her shoulder.
Thor decided to come along with them and they were back on track to the helicarrior. Once they're back, on the ship, Loki is taken away and Elizabeth is quick to finding Fury.
Elizabeth walks up to Fury, down the platform where he stands in the middle. Elizabeths fists are clenched tight but she keeps herself composed. Fury turns around, sensing her presence.
"Can I help you Rusalka?" He asks.
"Yeah, I think you can," she says in an annoyed tone.
"Rusalka?" Steve asks.
Elizabeth turns around to see Steve standing behind her.
"I thought you were Black Widow? Why did he call you Rusalka?" Steve asks.
"Now is not the time Steve," Elizabeth says.
"When is the time? I just found out that you're alive. I want to know wha-"
"Like I said, Steve. I will explain everything in time. But right now I really need to talk to Fury," she says, venom in her voice.
Elizabeth grabs Fury by the wrist and drags him away and she leads the two into a room. Steve just stands there, shocked about it all. Then, Natasha comes from behind him and places her hand on his shoulder.
"She didn't want to be the Black Widow anymore. She passed that title down," Natasha explains.
"What? To who?" Asks Steve.
"To me."
Now that Elizabeth and Fury are alone, Elizabeth slams the door and pushes him up against the wall.
"Transfer the money," she silently barks.
"I will in time."
"When? I did your little job. Not to mention that you never said that I'd be working with people. You know very well that I work alone. So, you give me the money now for doing your stupid dirty work. Got it?"
"How about you stop being a mercenary and work for me? You have a team that is yours to lead. You can teach Steve everything and help him," he explains.
"No," Elizabeth lets out a sigh and lets go of Fury. "I can't be around him."
"Why? You always end up coming back. You act like your a bad guy but your not. Think about how you helped Natasha and Clint. Look, all I'm saying is that Carter gave you a chance and you took it. Now I'm giving you a chance, so take it."
"It was different between us. We aren't the same and it's not even the same situation."
"I realize that, but-"
"Just get me that money," she spits, before walking out the door and slamming it.
After a while Elizabeth makes her way to the lab where everyone else is. After she walks in, she see's Steve and Tony arguing and quickly jumps in.
"What's going on?" She asks.
"That's exactly what I would like to know. Now why would SHEILD higher a mercenary to take care of this and be apart of this team?" He asks.
"I'm afraid I don't know what you're talking about," Elizabeth denies.
"Rusalka, a mercenary that has been reported doing work all around the world for the past sixty some years. Killing for money working with people who supported Hydra, people who were against, killing supreme leaders," Tony says, reading a piece of paper.
"What are you getting at here? Elizabeth would never do that," Steve says.
"Really? Because while you were gone she became a mercenary who would kill for any and everyone giving her the right money," Tony explains.
"Liz?" Steve barely gets out.
"You don't get to call me that," she spits. "And you don't even know half of my story."
"What's going on in here?" Fury asks, Natasha coming in next to him, followed by Thor.
"Why do you have Hydra weapons? You're using the Tesseract and making weapons. What makes you better than them?" Steve asks.
"So we can use it against people like them. Hydra is gone, they don't exist anymore," Fury says.
"Yet you have a mercenary work for you?" Tony asks.
"She's just doing her job," Natasha says.
"You people are so tiny," Thor laughs.
The room quickly breaks out into a full on fight until Banner breaks it up. Everyone turns to him, silence filling the room.
"You can't take me out. Trust me I've tried," Bruce says in an aggravated tone. "I got low, so I put a bullet in my mouth and the other guy spit it out."
"Let's all just calm down," Steve says.
Without even realizing it, Bruce is holding the septor. Natasha and Elizabeth place their hands on their guns, ready to end. More so Elizabeth than Natasha. Then, before they know it, lights are going off and they are under attack. This sets Banner off and everyone is now fighting for survival.
With order not to kill anyone, seeing that they are all SHIELD agents, Elizabeth fights them, disarming them. By the time the fight is over, Loki, Thor, and Bruce are all gone. The team sits around a table, having lost a member. Fury gives them a talk and they are quickly back out on the battle field fighting for New York. With Captain America and The Widow or rather Rusalka fighting side by side once more, it feels like dejavou, only problem though is, is that their Bucky isn't there fighting with them.
Once the fight is over, they have won, sitting in a little Greek place, eating food. They are now, the Avengers.
