The two had to fight their way out of the elevator and had to jump out of it. They quickly took off on their bikes and went back to the hospital.
As they're walking down the hall to a vending machine, Steve stops.
"What?" She hisses.
Then, behind them is the sound of gum popping. The two turn around and see Natasha blowing a bubble. Steve quickly takes her by the shoulders and pushes her into a closet. Elizabeth follows closing the door behind them. Steve pins her up against the wall. Elizabeth goes to place her hand on his shoulder but he just swats her hand away.
"Where is it?" Steve hisses in a hushed tone.
"Safe," answers Nat.
"Do better," commands Steve.
"Where did you get it?"
"Why would I tell you?"
"Fury gave it to you. Why?" She asks.
As Elizabeth is keeping watch she can't help but smile. She taught her well.
"What's on it?"
"I don't know."
Then, Steve grabs onto her tighter, saying, "stop lying."
"I only act like I know everything, Rogers," Natasha barks.
Steve then looks back to Elizabeth who nods her head. Telling him she's telling the truth.
"I bet you knew Fury hired the pirates, didn't you?"
"Well it makes sense. The ship was dirty, Fury needed a way in, so do you," she responds.
"I'm not going to ask you again," growls Steve.
"Steve," Elizabeth spits.
"I know who killed Fury," Natasha finally says.
The two girls exchange a look. Steve looks back to Elizabeth who's wearing a look that he's never seen on her. Worry and fear.
"Most of the intelligence community doesn't believe he exists. The one's that do call him The Winter Soldier. He's credited with over two dozen assassination in the past fifty, years," Natasha explains.
"So he's a ghost story," jokes Steve.
"Five years ago, I was escorting a nuclear engineer out of Iran. Somebody shot out my tires near Odessa. Lost control of the car and we went over a cliff. I pulled us out. But the Winter Soldier was there. I was covering the engineer so he shot him straight through me," Natasha finishes up explaining.
She then pulls up her shirt ever so slightly to show Steve the scar.
"Soviet Slug. No rifling. Bye bye bikinis. If you need more stories just ask her," Natasha says, referring to Elizabeth.
The two soldiers exchange a look. Steve seems disappointed that she didn't say anything but reality is that she doesn't care.
"Going after him is a dead end. I know. I've tried. Like you said he's a ghost story," Natasha says, breaking the two up.
Steve looks back over to Natasha who is now holding up the hard drive.
"Then lets go find this ghost," Steve says with a smirk.
The three of them make their way out of the hospital with a new change of clothes. Both Steve and Natasha have on hoodies and jeans. Elizabeth has on her leather jacket with a red hoodie underneath, along with a black baseball cap and her signature combat boots.
