As the group of soldiers nock on the door to a small mobile home, a man who's about 5'10 and around two hundred pounds with chocolate skin opens the door.
"Hey," Steve says with a weak smile.
"Everyone we know is trying to kill us," Natasha says.
"Not everyone," the man answers in a low, yet kind voice.
As Steve and Nat walk into the house, Elizabeth stops and looks around. For a quick second, she is somewhere else. Somewhere besides Washington D.C.
"Elizabeth? Ya coming?" Steve asks, still propping Natasha up.
Elizabeth lets out a grunt and walks inside the house.
The place is small yet a lot neater than what the girls were expecting. Of course Elizabeth could careless but it was nice and homie. Natasha went in to take a shower and once she was done, Steve was waiting in the bedroom, leaving it just this man and Elizabeth.
"Hi, my names Sam," says the man with an extended hand.
Elizabeth looks to him, then back to peering outside the door, gun close to her side. Suddenly, she could hear voices and screams all around her. She looks behind her, only to see Sam in the room.
"Did you hear that?" She asks, walking closer to him.
"Hear what?" He asks.
As she get's closer to him, her head starts to throb with pain. She lets out a slight growl and places her hand on her head.
"You ok?" He asks.
"Fine. Do you happen to have any pain killers?"
"Yeah, got some in the bathroom. Why?" He asks.
"Don't worry about it," Elizabeth says, and goes back to her corner staring out the window.
As Steve and Natasha come back into the dining room, they all talk about their next move. Normally, Elizabeth would be all over this, it's what she was good at. What she was trained to do. At the moment though, she can feel a part of her starting to slip. Starting to forget certain things.
"Sitwell, once we get to him, we get what we need," Steve says, looking around.
When his eyes land on Elizabeth, he can tell that something is wrong.
"Liz?" He gently asks.
She doesn't respond and keeps her gaze out the window. He can see her gaped mouth on the reflection, as if she's seeing something.
"Elizabeth," he says, this time louder. "Elizabeth!"
This time, she turns her head to face Steve.
"You with us?" He asks.
She looks back through the glass, then back to Steve. She nods at him and Steve replies with, "good."
"Can you find him?" He asks.
"What?" She asks with a confused look.
"Can you find Sitwell?" Steve repeats.
"Yeah, you have a computer?" She asks.
"Yeah, got one in the living room," Sam says.
"Good," she says as she makes her way to the computer.
Once she's in the room Steve gets up and grabs her arm. She spins around to look at him. His face shows confusion and worry.
"What's wrong?" He asks.
"I'm fine," she responds sharply.
"You're not fine. What is it?" He asks.
As her eyes go back and forth, she pulls her arm away without another word.
By the time they find Sitwell and are able to get him in the car, it is squished. With Natasha in the center, Sitwell to the left of her, and Elizabeth on the passenger side. She had been the one pointing a gun to him for the past hour or so. When she was on the roof though, she could hear a voice telling her to kill him. Even now, it's still telling her to kill him. But now it growing him and everyone else in the car.Her grip is tight on her gun and her breathing is forcefully controlled. Suddenly, as Sitwell is bickering, he gets pulled out of the car through the window and thrown into the on coming traffic.
Elizabeth perks up and points her gun out the window. Suddenly, there are shots firing down at them. Elizabeth throws Natasha up with Steve and Sam. She shoots a couple rounds before she runs out of bullets.
Then, an arm rips through the window shield and grabs the steering wheel. Elizabeth moves over to the broken window and stands up and her eyes immediately go wide. Thinking quickly, she grabs a gun from his leg and shoots him in the side.
He quickly grabs her wrist and throws her out of the car, making her back slam on an on coming car. She rolls off and sees a military car follow. She quickly hops off the car and starts sprinting back to her friends.
She looks and sees The Winter Soldier standing and pointing a gun at the car. It was an explosive. As it's fired, the three quickly hop out of the car and Elizabeth runs straight to the Winter Soldier. She fires her gun at him but he blocks each one with his metal arm.
She leaps onto his shoulders and swings her legs onto his neck and she's able to slip the two. They both quickly get up and bot just stare at each other. Almost like they're frozen. Then, she spots a necklace rapped around his neck.
Her blood runs cold and her body turns numb. The Winter Soldier uses this though and quickly starts firing at her. She's able to dodge it and take cover behind a highway separator. She looks to her left and sees Sam who's firing a gun.
She looks down to her right and sees a gun and picks it up. She quickly pops up and starts firing at the soldiers. She then spots The Winter Soldier and sees him jump off of the bridge. She quickly rushes after him. How he has Bucky's necklace, she has no clue. But she sure as hell was getting back. He can die, but not Elizabeth.
