In the dimly lit ambulance, Yash and Aarav sat beside Vanya, who lay unconscious on the stretcher, her body surrounded by a pool of blood that stained their hands and clothes. Aarav frantically worked to stop the bleeding and despite his efforts, the blood continued to flow, covering them both in its warm, sticky thickness.
Yash held Vanya's cold hand tightly, his voice barely above a whisper, as he pleaded, "Don't go___please__open your eyes." His words broke with desperation, as though his voice alone could anchor her to life.
Through the stethoscope, Aarav heard her faint, irregular heartbeat-a sound growing fainter with each passing second. He glanced at Yash, whose tear-filled eyes searched for a glimmer of reassurance from Aarav, and even though he knew the severity of Vanya's condition, he couldn't bear to tell Yash the truth. "Yes, she'll be fine," he lied, struggling to keep his own emotions in check. "We just need to stop the bleeding; that's why we're getting her to the hospital."
Yash nodded, a faint, tear-streaked smile crossing his face as he looked down at Vanya. He brought her hand to his lips, kissing it softly. "You hear that, Kitty? Aarav says it's just the blood... just a few more minutes, and you'll wake up."
Aarav's eyes flicked to the heart monitor; the line was dipping lower, the rhythm weaker. Panic seized him as he banged on the partition, yelling at the driver, "DRIIIIIIVVVVVEEEE! FAAASSTTTEERRRRR!"
Meanwhile, Vikram was already on the phone with Punjab's police, arranging to clear the route from the Singhania mansion to the hospital, ordering every roadblock lifted and every path made clear. Nothing would stand in the way of the ambulance reaching its destination.
As the ambulance came to a halt at the hospital, a team of nurses, ward boys, and doctors rushed to the back, flinging the doors open. In a coordinated motion, Vanya's unconscious body was carefully lifted onto a stretcher, with Yash and Aarav by her side, helping as best they could. The Singhania family poured into the emergency corridor-Ishaan, Vivaan, Reyansh, Kunal, and others standing on edge as the medical team prepared to wheel Vanya toward the operating theater. Aarav, hurrying alongside, called out to the doctor beside him, "Did you get the X-ray report I sent?"
