Everyone arrived at the temple and stepped out of their cars. Tanya's family greeted everyone warmly. As Yash emerged from his car, Tanya immediately ran towards him, throwing her arms around his neck and hugging him tightly, her entire body pressed against his.
Vanya watched them, her jaw tightening as she clenched her pant.Aarav walked up beside her and, with a mischievous grin, remarked, "It's not just you; anyone would get jealous if a girl wearing a red saree hugged a man like that."
Vanya shot Aarav a glare, wanting to snap back at him for his teasing, but she held her tongue, reminding herself of the reason she was here. She couldn't afford to be distracted by these foreign, unsettling feelings. Glancing around to ensure no one else was watching, she whispered to Aarav, "He's nothing but a distraction."
Aarav observed the firm resolve in her eyes as she turned away, walking with an air of indifference, as if she wasn't bothered by Tanya's hugs or her seductive saree. Aarav smirked and murmured to himself, "Damn, both of them are burning for each other," before heading up the temple steps.
Yash caught sight of Aarav and Vanya talking from a distance, noticing the storm brewing in Vanya's eyes. He wanted to ask Aarav what had transpired between them but was pulled away when his mother, Anita, called him for the pooja rituals.
Everyone gathered around the agni kund for the pooja. Yash and Tanya began performing the rituals together, while the bodyguards positioned themselves around the temple, some standing outside, others surrounding the family. Vanya, determined to avoid Yash's gaze and the sight of the pooja, chose to stand near the storage room, just out of view from the main hall.
As the pooja drew to a close, the pandit instructed Yash and Tanya to take seven circles around the temple to complete the ritual. Yash stood up, prompting everyone else to rise as well. He gestured for Aarav to join him, but Aarav tried to slip away in another direction. Unyielding, Yash grabbed Aarav by the collar and pulled him along.
Seeing Tanya standing alone, Tanya's mother called out, "Avni beta, please go with them."Avni, who had been half-asleep, nodded lazily and trudged toward Yash, Aarav, and Tanya. Yash walked briskly, his long strides making it difficult for Tanya to keep up in her saree. Struggling, Tanya called out, "Babe, please slow down. It's hard to walk in a saree."
Avni, irritated by Tanya's revealing outfit, snapped, "Who told you to wear such a saree? It's a temple, and half your body is visible."Tanya huffed at Avni's remarks, clearly annoyed. Meanwhile, Yash and Aarav, who were walking ahead, had already completed three rounds, leaving Tanya and Avni far behind.
As Yash and Aarav reached the secluded area behind the temple, Yash seized the opportunity to ask, "What were you talking about with Vanya?"
Aarav, distracted by the trees around them, replied nonchalantly, "Nothing important." Then, with a sly grin, he added, "She said you were nothing to her but a distraction."
