In Dr. Mishra's office, Yash, Aarav, Vikram, and Anita gathered, puzzled by the sudden summons. None of them knew why they had been called, and Aarav hadn't found the strength to explain the gravity of the situation.
Aarav stood close to Dr. Mishra who was sitting on his chair, his silence heavy, while Yash and Anita sat down, and Vikram was in his wheelchair. Yash, with a slight smile that quite reaching his eyes, asked, "Why did you want to meet us, doctor?"

Dr. Mishra exhaled heavily, pulling out Vanya's heart scan. Seeing the report Anita, with a soft voice, spoke, "Doctor, I don't understand these reports. Please... just tell us clearly. We've been through enough today."
And then With a firm voice, sensing Aarav's hesitation, Vikram added, "Good news or bad news-say it clearly."
Dr. Mishra took a deep breath and began explaining Vanya's condition. Anita's and Vikram's initial hopeful expressions slowly faded, but Yash kept his face unreadable. In a flat tone, he said, "So... if we remove the machine, her heart will go into cardiac arrest. It's only the machine that's keeping her alive, and it's set to be removed in five days?"
Aarav, noticing the emptiness in Yash's gaze-an all-too-familiar sign of his building rage-quickly interrupted, "Yes! But she'll recover. Only a small part of her heart is damaged..."
Dr. Mishra shot Aarav a sharp look, frustrated by his attempt to sugarcoat the truth. In a firm voice, he addressed Yash, "The chances are very slim."
But Yash gave a slight smile. "So there's a chance. I'm her husband, and I'll take it. How many ECMO machines will you need for her treatment?"
