Yash said urgently to Subhash, "Chachu, let's go. Aarav, come with me."
Anita, her voice trembling, added, "I'll come too."
Yash gave a brief hum in response to her, acknowledging her without hesitation. But just as they were about to head out, Savitri Ji's firm, unwavering voice cut through the air, "Yaaasssssh!"
Everyone halted, as if her voice alone commanded the room. Yash slowly turned around, his expression hardening as he met her gaze.
"Dadi, no," he said, his voice low but resolute. "Not now. My Dad-your son-has woken up after 30 days in a coma."
Savitri Ji's eyes bore into him, filled with anger and unspoken expectations. But Yash, undeterred, ignored her, turning his back to the tension in the room. He strode out of the house, followed closely by Aarav, Sudhanshu, and Anita, leaving the weight of his words hanging in the air.
All four of them rushed into the hospital, a towering building owned by Singhania Enterprises. Anita hadn't stopped crying since she heard the news of Vikram waking up. Yash, holding her trembling hand, tried to console her as they entered the hospital. Aarav and Subhash were immediately pulled aside by the doctors to discuss Vikram's condition, while Yash and Anita sat outside the room, waiting for the signal to go in.
Yash, noticing his mother's distress, tried to lighten the mood. "Maa, you should cut your nails. They're hurting my skin again," he said gently, trying to distract her.
Anita glanced at him, her eyes filled with tears, and snapped, "Shut up, Yash! Ask Aarav how much longer it'll take for us to go in."
Yash smiled softly, replying, "You've been gripping my arm since we walked in. If you let go, maybe I can ask."
Anita's grip tightened, her voice trembling, "Don't go. Call Aarav and Subhash bhaiji here."
Before Yash could respond, Aarav appeared in front of them. "We can go in now, but the doctor says he still has injuries-his body and head haven't fully healed yet. Let's try not to stress him with tears."
With that, Aarav gently wiped the tears from Anita's cheeks. She stood with Yash's and Aarav's help, drawing in a deep breath as she braced herself. The door creaked open, revealing the sterile atmosphere of the hospital room. The steady beep of the heart monitor echoed in the background, matching the rhythm of Vikram's slow, steady heartbeat. His body was covered in bandages, IV drips running through his veins, and his face looked pale and lifeless under the dim lights.
Anita's heart sank. She could hardly recognize the once-strong man who commanded respect, the man with the aura of a lion. Now, he lay still, wrapped in bandages with his eyes shut tight, trapped in a battle between life and death.
Before anyone could speak, the door swung open again. Savitri Ji, with Aman by her side, stormed into the room. Despite the doctors' strict orders not to overcrowd Vikram's space, no one dared stop Savitri Ji. Her presence filled the room with an unspoken authority, and her gaze swept across her family before landing on Vikram's still form.
