Vanya's trembling hands traced over Yash's body, frantically searching for the source of the blood that stained his kurta. Her breath hitched as tears welled up in her eyes. In a voice barely above a whisper, she asked, "Where are you bleeding?"
Without a word, Yash slipped the gun behind his kurta and gently began to remove the false beard and turban that had concealed Vanya's identity. But her gaze remained fixed on the crimson-streaked fabric, oblivious to his actions. Her world had narrowed down to the sight of blood, and the terror that gripped her heart.
Yash cupped her tear-streaked cheeks, lifting her face to meet his. Tenderly, he wiped away her tears, his voice a soft murmur. "This isn't my blood kitty. Are you hurt?"Vanya shook her head, her voice lost in the whirlwind of fear and relief that swirled within her.
Yash's brow furrowed as he held her face, his tone laced with a mix of concern and simmering anger. "Is this the first time you've heard gunshots?" he asked, his hands still cradling her face. She nodded, her eyes wide and shimmering with unshed tears.
Yash's frustration boiled over, his voice rising slightly as he continued, "You don't know how to use guns, you don't know anything about my life, and yet you decided to become my bodyguard. Do you have any idea how dangerous it is to be near me? Why didn't you run?"
Vanya's eyes met his, filled with a mixture of fear and determination. "You were still inside the temple. I was coming to protect you, but I got into a fight with an intruder. When I turned to find you, you were already gone, and then... there were so many gunshots. I was scared, so I hid."
Yash's anger softened into something almost tender as he leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to her left cheek. "I suppose it's my fault. I should've waited for you to rescue me," he said, a faint smile tugging at his lips.
Vanya managed a small nod, her heart aching at the warmth in his words. Yash, captivated by the innocence in her response, kissed her other cheek, his lips lingering for a moment longer this time. "We need to go, kitty," he whispered against her cheek, his voice carrying both urgency and affection.
But Vanya's hands tightened around his, desperation flooding her eyes. "No... please, no... They'll leave in a few minutes. Let's stay here for a while," she pleaded, her voice trembling.Yash sighed heavily, the weight of the situation pressing down on him. "Fine, we'll stay inside the cabinet, but they'll come in soon-they saw me enter and I am out of bullets too.So now I have to withdraw hand combats."
A surge of panic caused through Vanya, her breath quickening as she reached into her back pocket and pulled out a gun and gave it to Yash. Her hands shook, but her grip was firm, determination hardening her gaze and telling Yash"Use mine!!".
Yash took the gun from Vanya, his brow furrowing in concern as he asked, "If I use your gun, what are you going to use to protect yourself?"Vanya didn't hesitate. "Wait," she said, bending down to her ankle and pulling out a knife that had been cleverly hidden there.
Yash couldn't help but smile a little at her resourcefulness. "Only one?" he teased.Vanya met his gaze with a determined look, her voice steady as she replied, "I have two more."Yash raised an eyebrow, his expression playful as he remarked, "Wow, three knives and there are around eight intruders outside. Great!"
Vanya shot him an angry glare, her voice laced with defiance. "It's enough for me," she snapped, before holding one knife between her lips and retrieving the second from her waist.Yash, impressed by her hiding spots, chuckled softly. "Now show me where you're hiding the third one," he urged, still holding onto a hint of amusement.
Vanya's glare deepened as she hissed, "Turn around."Yash looked at her in disbelief. "We're not in a bedroom; it's a tiny cabinet where I can barely stand. How am I supposed to turn around?"Vanya sighed, clearly irritated. "Fine, close your eyes."
Yash gave her a questioning look but quickly pieced it together. "Don't tell me you hid a sharp object there. It was already bruised, and you still hid something there?"Vanya sighed again, her tone firm. "My body, my hiding spot. Now close your eyes."Yash, frustrated but compliant, closed his eyes.
He couldn't resist opening them just a sliver to sneak a glance at what Vanya was doing. He watched as she unbuttoned the top four buttons of her shirt, her movements deliberate. Her hand slipped inside her chest bandage, fingers searching for the knife she had hidden there. Yash's breath hitched as he observed her actions, his heart racing, and to his own dismay, he felt himself growing hard.
Vanya finally found the knife, but in the process, she nicked her chest, a sharp hiss of pain escaping her lips. Yash's eyes flew open, and he immediately grabbed her wrist. Vanya was caught off guard, holding two knives between her lips and one in her hand, her hands now firmly in Yash's grasp.
Yash's eyes darkened as he noticed the droplets of blood trickling down her chest. Anger mixed with concern as he asked, "Don't you care about your bosom?"Vanya's eyes widened, but before she could respond, Yash lowered his head and pressed his lips to her chest, sucking the blood to stop its flow.
His cold tongue and warm lips sent a jolt through Vanya, shocking her into silence. She wanted to push him away, but her hands were full and restrained by him.Yash's touch was gentle yet possessive, and as he finished, he began buttoning up her shirt, his voice low and warning. "If you hurt yourself like this again, I won't go easy on you."
Just then, the door of the storage room crashed open. They could hear the footsteps of the eight men entering the room. Yash quickly finished buttoning her shirt and whispered, "Stay behind me."Vanya looked at Yash, determination blazing in her eyes as she murmured, "You're going to fight them alone?"
Yash nodded, but before he could protest further, she held up the three knives, her voice firm. "I'll be beside you, not behind you."Without waiting for his response, Vanya pushed open the cabinet door, making the eight men whip around to face them.
Yash sighed deeply, a mix of frustration and admiration filling his chest as he muttered under his breath, "Damn her attitude... She makes me hard down there even in the middle of a fight in temple."
The tension between them was palpable, but the danger outside was even more pressing. They were ready, side by side, to face whatever came next.
