"God gives his toughest battles to his toughest soldiers."

--------------------------------------------------------------------

The Kauravas, can never be just for once, can they? They have to be unfair every single time don't they?

Why can't they be honorable and not start battles, before war starts?

They can't cheat into getting King Shalya, Nakul and Sahadev's maternal uncle.

It isn't fair, even though his support goes to us, and even when we stand against eachother on battlefield he'll be on our side. I shake my head and try to think of something more positive, a more welcoming thought.

Krishna has decided to be Arjun's charioteer.

"Hi Draupadi," he says casually munching on an apple as he walks into my tent.

"I was just thinking of you," I tell him.

"Hmm," he says.

"You know tommorow is the first day of war don't you?" I ask him.

"Yeah, I do."

"Then, how come your so relaxed?" I ask him.

"What is sealed will happen. We both know that better than anyone else dont we?" he tells me taking another bite of his apple.

I sigh. But of course I know better than anyone else that ours fates our sealed and there's no escaping from that. But that doesn't mean I feel more relaxed or less scared. Fate is a weird thing. And I will not trust that thing.

--------------------------------------------------------------

I walk to my son's tent. Presently Uttara and Abhimanyu are with them and they're inspecting their weapons.

"Putro," I say as I walk in and they look up and smile at me.

"Hello Mother." They chorus. "So, how are you feeling?" I ask them. It is their first major war and as much as I don't doubt their skill, they are their father's sons after all. But yet I still can't brush away my nerves.

Satanika looks at Prathivindhya. How come I didn't notice how close Prathivindhya and Satanika are? They're nearly never without the other, almost like twins.

"Well Mother, this is the moment we've been preparing for the whole of our lives. This is the best chance to prove ourselves, to show everyone what we're capable of, make our fathers proud of us and most importantly avenge them for what they did to our family. For what they did to you." he says his steely and determined.

I beam, proud of my eldest son and almost on cue my husbands walk in "Spoken like a true warrior." Yudhisthra says and Prathivindhya seems taken aback by the praise.

"Your right. Tommorow is the day we finally fight. We'll make them pay back for the years of injustice we had to endure. This war is ours." Sahadev says and my sons agree. They talk war strategy for a little while and me and Uttara quietly sit, murmuring comments every once in a while. My husbands then walk out.

Uttara looks at her brother-in-laws and her gaze falls on her husband and Abhimanyu almost as if sensing her gaze on him turns and looks at her smiling. Ah, young love.

Uttara stands up then solemnly and suddenly her hand on her stomach "Please all of you, Aarya and my brother-in-laws promise to come back safe no matter how long war lasts."

They smile at her sweetly, "We promise dear." Abhimanyu says and I smile. Their bond is so sweet, so pure. I then leave after talking for some more while. I need to see my husbands.

--------------------------------------------------------

I carefully walk into their tent and see them talking to eachother. They look at me suprised as I walk in. "Your supposed to be asleep Husbands." I tell them.

Arjun looks at me sarcastically "We can tell you the same thing dear." he says.

"I wanted to see my husbands, is that wrong?" I question. They sigh.

Nakul then tells me "We couldn't sleep, not a wink. I was tossing around and accidently hit Bhrattha Bheem and he wouldn't hear the end of it. Where were you all this while? With the children?"

"I went to see my brother. He's more serious than ever." I tell them and they nod

"I can imagine it." Sahadev says and Arjun lazily comments "I wouldn't want to be the first soldier who gets caught by him tommorow."

We laugh and for a minute we can all forget what hangs above us. War.
