The next couple of days went by quickly, and soon it was Loki and Serenity's wedding day. Frigga had taken Serenity to her room so she could get ready for the wedding ceremony. Grace had brought the wedding gown to Frigga's chambers, "Are you nervous dear?" Serenity answered, "Yes, very nervous." Frigga said, "Don't be nervous dear. Loki loves you and he has waited for this moment for a very long time." Serenity said, "I have also waited for this moment too but I'm still nervous. What if he changes his mind and doesn't want to go through with it?" She said softly with her head down. Frigga lifts up her head, "Dear, Loki would never change his mind, he loves too much. After all that has happened these last few weeks, I would think that you would know just how much he loves you." Serenity said, "That's just it, Frigga, he had to fight my parents and stand up to my grandfather. I have only brought him trouble." She said sadly. Frigga puts her hands on her shoulders, "Dear, Loki hasn't complained about any of that. Yes, it made him angry that your parents treated you the way that they did, but he was mad at them, not you dear. As far as your grandfather goes, he and Zeus have made amends. Zeus sees that Loki loves you and he's accepted that. I even heard that Zeus was coming to your wedding." Serenity said, "Yes, he asked if he could come, and Loki said it would be alright." Frigga said. "There you go dear. That's proof that Loki has no problem with your grandfather." Serenity said, "Yes. I guess you are right, Frigga." Frigga said, "Of course, I'm dear. Now, let's get you into your wedding gown." So, between Grace and Frigga, they helped Serenity get dressed.
Loki was in his room getting ready too and Thor was in there to help him. Thor said, "Why are you so nervous, brother? This is the woman of your dreams. You have fought for her and stood up for her. You even stood up to Zeus on her behalf. You've gone through hell for her, brother." Loki said, "Yes, I know, brother but the thought of the wait being over is overwhelming." Thor said, "Just breathe brother, it will be ok. You and Serenity love each other, and this was meant to be." Loki smiles, "Yes, we do, brother. Thank you for your support." Thor smiles, "Anytime brother. Now let's get you ready to meet your future wife and queen." Loki smiles again. Loki wore his traditional green and gold armor with his horned helmet and green cape. Thor said, "You look good, brother." Loki said, "Thank you, brother. I wonder how Serenity is doing with mother and Grace." Thor said, "Oh, I'm pretty sure that they have got her all dressed up."
Loki and Thor walked to the throne room and waited for Serenity. Odin was sitting on his throne when Loki and Thor walked in. Loki asked Odin, "Father, have you seen Serenity?" Odin said, "No, son have not but she will be here soon." Zeus approached Loki, "Prince Loki, I'm glad that my granddaughter is marrying you and that she will be in such a good environment." Loki replied, "Thank you, your majesty. I'm happy that you approve of our union." Zeus said, "Yes, I am very happy for you both. My granddaughter needs someone in her life to love her unconditionally and I believe she has that in you." Loki said, "Yes, she does your majesty. I will always be there for her and love her." Loki looked at Zeus, "Is Serenity's parents coming?" Zeus said, "No, they are not. Hermes wanted to come but Aphrodite didn't, so he decided to stay with her." Loki said, "Well, he could have come without her, if he wanted to because I have a sense that he cares more for Serenity than her mother." Zeus said, "Yes, Hermes does seem to care more for Serenity than Aphrodite, but he's loyal to his wife so he would never go against her." Loki said, "It's a shame that he doesn't have the backbone to stand up to his wife. Because I'm sure that Serenity would like to have him here but at least she has her brother and you here for her." Zeus replied, "I would not let my granddaughter down. She needs to have some of her family here to share this blessed day with her." Loki nodded his head yes.
Just then Cupid appeared, "Hello grandfather." Zeus said, "Hello Cupid." Cupid asked, "They aren't coming, are they?" Zeus said, "No, grandson, they are not. Your father wanted to come but your mother did not. So, he decided not to come and stay with her." Cupid said, "That sounds like the wimp. He doesn't have the backbone to stand up to mother." Zeus frowned at Cupid, "Grandson, it's not nice to talk about your father like that." Cupid said, "But it's true grandfather." Zeus said, "Perhaps but still....it is not appropriate." Cupid said, "Yes, grandfather." Cupid looks at Loki, "Where's my sister?" Loki said, "She hasn't come yet, but she'll be here soon, I hope." Cupid said, "Oh, don't worry Loki, she'll be here. She loves you and would never miss out on this."
Odin then approaches Zeus, Loki, Thor and Cupid. "Loki, get in your place. I have just received word that Serenity is ready and will be on her way any minute now." Loki's heart starts to beat faster at the thought of seeing his beautiful Serenity. So, Loki went and stood to the left side of Odin's throne. Thor and Cupid stood next to Loki. Then the big golden doors opened, and Frigga walked down the aisle to stand on the right side of the throne. Loki knew that Serenity would be coming next, and he started to get excited.
