Jake's POV
Today felt different. The garden was the same, yet it buzzed with an energy I could hardly contain. After yesterday, my heart was a mix of joy and a lingering sadness. The semicolon necklace he gave me hung around my neck, a reminder of our connection, but I felt the weight of it, too.
I had gone out this morning and bought a similar necklace-a twin, I thought, to show that what we shared was real and meaningful. As I wandered through the garden, I couldn't help but imagine his smile when he saw it.
Time passed, and I was lost in my thoughts when I suddenly heard footsteps. My heart raced as he appeared, holding a beautiful bouquet of tulips, vibrant and alive. I felt a rush of happiness wash over me as he approached, his eyes lighting up when he saw me.
"Hey," he said, a grin spreading across his face as he handed me the flowers. "I thought these would brighten your day."
I took the bouquet, feeling warmth spread through me. "They're perfect," I said, inhaling their sweet scent.
Then, gathering my courage, I pulled out the necklace I had bought. "I wanted to give this to you," I said, holding it out. "You can talk to your mother now"
His eyes widened in surprise, and a smile broke across his face. "You got this for me?" he asked, his voice filled with genuine happiness.
"Yeah," I replied, my heart fluttering at his reaction.
"Thank you," he said softly, he took the necklace.
After exchanging the necklaces, we settled under the beautiful oak tree, its leaves rustling softly in the breeze. I couldn't stop smiling, feeling as if this moment was stitched into my very heart.
Then, his eyes sparkled with excitement. "I have something to show you," he said, taking my hand. My pulse quickened as he led me deeper into the garden.
"Where are we going?" I asked, curiosity bubbling inside me.
"You'll see," he replied, glancing back with a grin that made my heart race.
As we walked, I noticed more flowers blooming around us, their colors vibrant and intoxicating. Finally, we reached a secluded area, and my breath caught in my throat. Before me was a hidden spot filled with wildflowers swaying gently in the wind. A swing hung from a sturdy branch of another tree, and the whole scene felt like something out of a fairy tale.
"Wow," I breathed, stepping forward. "This place is amazing!"
He chuckled, clearly pleased by my reaction. "I thought you'd like it. I discovered it last week and knew I had to share it with you."
I walked toward the swing, gently pushing it with my hand. "I can't believe I've never found this before. It's like a secret paradise!"
He moved closer, standing beside me. "We can come here whenever you want. It's our little hideaway."
I turned to him, my heart racing. "I'd love that. It feels so... magical."
"Let's swing" I said and he joined me on the swing, and we took turns pushing each other higher and higher, laughter echoing through the garden. With every push, I felt lighter, freer-lost in the joy of the moment.
"This is the best day ever," I exclaimed, feeling the wind in my hair.
I made some changes on my story ( Introduction part ) I add a video today, if you want you can go and took for that.
