As we drove back to Jay's house, the mood was a mix of anxiety and determination. Niki munched on his gummy bears quietly, glancing out the window as the streets passed by.

Once we arrived at Jay's house, relief washed over me. It felt like a safe haven amidst the uncertainty. We quickly unloaded the supplies, and I turned to everyone.

"Let's organize everything and make sure we have what we need," I said, my voice steady.

"Right," Sunghoon said, taking a box of first aid supplies inside. "I'll set up a corner for the medical items."

Jay moved to the TV, flicking it on to see if there were any updates. The screen flickered to life, and the news anchor's serious expression sent a chill through me.

"They're saying the situation is getting worse," Jay announced, his tone grave. "There have been reports of attacks, and civilians are being urged to stay indoors."

Jungwon and Heeseung, who had just arrived, exchanged worried glances. "We need to make sure we're prepared for anything," Jungwon said, his voice firm. "We can't underestimate what's happening."

"Agreed," Heeseung added. "We should think about our next steps. If things escalate, we need to have a plan."

Niki, still clutching his gummy bears, looked serious for once. "What if we have to leave? Where will we go?"

"That's a good question," I replied, feeling the weight of his words. "We'll stay together, no matter what. But we need to know our options."

"Let's make a list of places we can go if things get really bad," Sunoo suggested. "Somewhere safe where we can regroup."

"Good idea," I said, feeling a mix of fear and resolve. "But for now, let's focus on what we can do here. We need to ration our supplies carefully."

As we gathered around the table, we started writing down supplies and ideas. Niki was surprisingly focused, contributing suggestions about what to prioritize. I was proud of him for stepping up.

"We should also set up watch shifts," Jungwon said. "We can't afford to let our guard down."

Sunghoon nodded. "I'll take the first shift. We need to keep an eye on things outside."

"I'll join you," Jay added. "Better to be safe."

As we worked, the news continued in the background, the gravity of the situation weighing heavily on us. I could feel the tension in the air, but our teamwork provided a small comfort.

"Remember, we're in this together," Eunhee reminded everyone. "No matter how tough it gets, we have each other."

Niki looked around, his expression serious now. "Yeah, we'll stick together. No one gets left behind."

With that, we finished organizing our supplies and making a plan. As we settled in for the night, I felt a mix of fear and hope. We were facing something terrifying, but with my friends beside me, I knew we could endure whatever came next.
