After gathering our supplies, Niki and I rushed back to the front of the store, where Jay and Sunghoon were waiting by Sunghoon's car. The vehicle looked like a fortress, packed with supplies and ready to go.

"Did you guys find anything?" Jay asked, glancing at our overflowing bags.

"Yep! We got water, canned food, and-" Niki held up the pack of gummy bears triumphantly. "And these survival essentials!"

Sunghoon laughed, shaking his head. "Gummy bears? Really? Those are essential?"

"Absolutely!" Niki declared, beaming. "They keep morale up!"

"Alright, let's load everything in," I said, smiling at Niki's enthusiasm. We quickly tossed our bags into the trunk, ensuring we had enough space for everything.

Once settled inside the car, Sunghoon started the engine, and the comforting hum of the vehicle surrounded us. "Where to next?" he asked, looking at me in the rearview mirror.

"We should check the pharmacy for any medical supplies," I suggested. "It's better to be prepared."

"Good idea," Jay chimed in. "I'll keep an eye on the news while we drive. We need to stay updated."

As we drove through the quiet streets, I could feel the tension in the air. Niki, ever the jokester, began to mimic a news anchor again. "And now, breaking news: gummy bears are the new essential food group!"

"Very important information," Jay said with a smirk, shaking his head. "You should start your own news channel, Niki."

"Definitely!" Niki replied, throwing his hands up dramatically. "Today's top story: snacks are crucial for survival!"

"Just remember, if it comes down to a gummy bear shortage, you're the first one I'll blame," I joked, trying to lighten the mood.

As we arrived at the pharmacy, Sunghoon parked the car, and we all hopped out, ready to tackle our next mission. The store looked dim inside, and I could see a few other people hurrying through the aisles, gathering supplies just like us.

"Let's split up again," I suggested. "Niki, stick with me. Jay, you and Sunghoon can check the back for first aid supplies."

"Got it!" Niki said, bouncing on his feet. "But if I find any candy back there, it's mine!"

"Just don't get lost, okay?" I reminded him, leading him toward the aisles of bandages and medicine.

As we walked through the pharmacy, I grabbed some essential items-band-aids, antiseptics, and pain relievers-while keeping an eye on Niki. He was wandering off, exploring every shelf.

"Niki!" I called, exasperated. "Stay close!"

He turned, holding up a box of children's vitamins. "Look, Jake! These could help us stay strong! Plus, they're gummy!"

I couldn't help but laugh. "Fine, we'll add those to our haul. But remember, we need to be smart about this."

Jay and Sunghoon returned from the back with a stash of first aid supplies and some additional medicines. "We got some pain relievers and antiseptics," Jay said, placing the items in the cart. "Good haul?"

"Yeah! Niki found gummy vitamins," I replied, shaking my head in amusement.

"Only Niki," Sunghoon said, chuckling. "Let's check out before anything else runs out."

We quickly made our way to the counter, bags filled to the brim. As we checked out, Niki bounced on his toes, looking eager. "Can I have a gummy bear now?"

"Sure, just one!" I said, handing him the pack. He tore it open immediately, popping a bear into his mouth with a triumphant grin.

As we left the pharmacy, I felt a renewed sense of determination. We were working together, and even in uncertain times, laughter and friendship made all the difference.

"Alright, team, let's get back to Jay's house and make sure we have everything we need," I said, feeling hopeful.

With the car loaded and Niki happily munching on his gummy bears, we drove back through the quiet streets, ready to face whatever came next together.
