Sunghoon looked up, intrigued. "What did life say?"

I took a breath, collecting my thoughts. "Life replied, 'Because you are the painful truth, and I'm the beautiful lie.'"

He fell silent for a moment, absorbing the weight of those words. "That's... intense, Jake."

"It just struck me how true it felt," I continued. "People often fear the truth because it brings pain and suffering. But life-the illusion of happiness, the moments of joy-those are what people cling to. It's easier to love the lie than face the harsh realities."

Sunghoon's brow furrowed in thought. "But doesn't that mean we should embrace the truth, no matter how painful? That's where real connection lies, right?"

"Exactly," I said, my heart racing at his insight. "I want to believe that. I want to face everything with you. But it's hard when the truth feels so heavy."

He nodded, his expression earnest. "But we don't have to face it alone. We can share the burden. Together, we can turn that painful truth into something beautiful."

I smiled softly at him, grateful for his strength. "You always know what to say. It's like you can see through the darkness."

"That's because you're my light," he replied, his eyes shining with sincerity. "Even in this chaos, I find hope in you."

"Promise me we'll keep searching for that beauty," I said, my voice steady. "No matter how hard it gets."
