The battle continued illuminating the entire dark area of the forest as the fight stretched on for the next few hours. Severus adopted a "hit and run" strategy, fleeing and attacking from various angles as he moved toward areas with fewer spiders.
Lily only watched Severus from a distance, unable to see much. After all, he was so fast that she couldn't keep up with him, only seeing the explosions while the spiders moved together from one side to another, trying to kill him. She could only observe that chaotic swarm of spiders with a stunned expression.
What she was witnessing went beyond anything she could comprehend and shattered all the norms she had heard about for years. How could a wizard fight against an army of Acromantulas alone? Had she ever read about this in a book? It was even more unbelievable knowing that it was Snape himself fighting and managing to endure, leaving a pile of burnt corpses behind.
At first, she didn't even know why she was standing there. If she were sober, she would have already run over there, unable to believe what she was seeing. But there she stood, transfixed, watching a battle she would probably never witness again in her life.
And so the fight continued, with hours passing, and the night was approaching dawn. As time went on, Lily started becoming more aware of the situation, losing her drunkenness, and she couldn't be more frightened as she heard the explosions from the attacks.
Severus, in the midst of the fight, was in a frantic state, fighting the whole time. Any mistake could be fatal for him, calculating all his movements in the environment rapidly.
The damn spiders seemed to be smarter than he expected, as they were trying to catch him in the middle of his teleportations, changing their strategy as soon as they realized they would be eliminated if they continued the same way.
Even though they couldn't catch him, they kept throwing webs, trying to create a trap in which he could get stuck. However, Severus wasn't careless, thinking through each move quickly like a battle-hardened warrior who had faced numerous fights in his life beyond this world. He continued to reap their lives with fire magic or with the lightning blade made by cutting with his sword, while his level steadily increased as time went on. After hours of fighting, he finally reached level 40 and had already eliminated 200 spiders, with 800 more still trying to kill him.
Moving swiftly between the enemies, even in the middle of the fight, Severus opened the system and began adding more points to his stats, focusing on the physical lines, making his body stronger with each point, becoming faster and more agile to help him in this fight. His body was now so strong that it could be considered ten times stronger than when he had started at Hogwarts. His speed was like a flash, running from side to side, even without using teleportation to save magic. He danced between the enemies, eliminating them while their kind were slain, unable to react wherever Snape passed.
There were some even more powerful fire spells that would be very useful in that scenario, such as Fiendfyre, a spell that could sweep through an entire area. However, he had not yet mastered it, so he had to rely solely on his fireball.
[Congratulations, you have leveled up to 41!]
A system screen notified him of his new level as Snape felt excited about it, continuing the frantic fight.
Meanwhile, Rubeus Hagrid was having a good night's sleep when suddenly a loud knock came at his door, with his dog barking outside. He got up quickly, a bit startled, throwing on a jacket over his pajamas as he walked to the door, wondering who would be calling at this hour of the night. It was already three in the morning.
