As Snape began the fight against the basilisk, Moaning Myrtle was still standing at the entrance of the secret chamber after seeing that scary boy simply jump into the hole created after he had broken it with his fists, which for that ghost was impossible, so she believed Snape used some magic.

She still maintained a horrified look at that. "What is this? I don't understand anything. What is he doing there?" She couldn't help but murmur, with a cry in her tone.

She seemed to lose track of time in that state because the only thing that broke her stupor was the sounds coming from that hole, while a strange fight seemed to be happening at this moment.

"Hm?!" The sounds of a ferocious animal showed that it was angry and in pain. Myrtle couldn't help but become even more frightened, wondering what was happening down there. With her insatiable curiosity, she decided to go see what was happening from afar and began to cautiously descend into the hole, while hearing the sounds of metal clashing against each other, in addition to angry screams of pain continuing from what seemed to be a monster.

Finally, she arrived inside the chamber, but just peeked from a distance, being able to see with the flames illuminating the place, while seeing that same boy who entered the hole now fighting against a monster.

Moaning Myrtle froze in fear, but her eyes widened as she saw the boy moving agilely escaping from that giant mouth. Then they went into the water, while the snake's body continued thrashing against that guy, Snape now emerged on the other side, doing something unbelievable. He pulled the snake, managing to rise and, with great effort, and throwing it to the other side, then he continued to fight with it and in the end, even looking like a fly in front of that monster, he managed to defeat it in the end as Myrtle saw the giant snake falling dead on the ground.

As soon as Snape felt Myrtle's eyes on him, the boy looked in her direction. The ghost, taken by fear, tried to hide as quickly as possible, while he continued to look at her from a distance. However, another scream emerged from the other side, someone crying in a way as lamentable as her.

He looked back at Snape again and began to move away while heading to the other side, leaving only her there alone, but without the courage to follow him with that huge dead snake on the ground.

Snape left the ghost aside and followed the strange crying, which seemed to be a man of a certain age, by the tone of his voice. Snape circled the statue and followed to the end of the cavern, where there was a staircase with a giant stone door, Snape calmly followed and climbed the stairs until he reached the door, which he seemed not to understand how it worked.

"Who is crying on the other side...?" Snape couldn't help but ask curiously.

"Get out of here now! Before I turn you into dust, you damn half-blood!!" The voice came from the other side while Snape was a bit surprised by this outburst.

"Who are you?" Snape asked, there didn't seem to be anyone on the other side, which meant one thing. "You're a painting, aren't you?" He asked.

"You damn half-blood!! You dare speak to me in this manner! You better leave here, I wanted so much a body to kill you!!!" The voice seemed extremely infuriated.

"Who is this grumpy one..." Snape murmured and looked at some parts of the inert basilisks on the ground from where he was. "Are you angry because I killed the basilisk?" Snape asked curiously.
