ELEO SEBASTIAN

Last night‚ I couldn’t take my eyes off his stunning face.

He left my penthouse without a word after our argument earlier. I usually dislike people like him‚ but there’s something different about him.

People who argue with me and disrespect me—ay hindi na naabotan ng sinag ng araw.

I was lying in bed‚ trying to figure out what’s wrong with me ‘Wow! Thanks so much‚ Mr. Arrogant! You’re God’s gift to me ’ . He’s the only one who dared to disrespect me in my own home.

I got up from bed and headed to the bathroom upang maligo.

“Kuya” sambit niya

“What?” I replied briefly

“Asan ka na? Don’t tell me you’re still in your penthouse? You’re doomed ” Eleigh‚ I could sense her frustration.

“Huh—”

“We have an important meeting with Mr. De Roma. Jusko Eleo Sebastian Lascano!” Her tone was stern‚ and I knew was getting angry.

“I’m on my way‚ wait for me!” I quickly grabbed my keys

“Hurry up‚ kanina ka pa hinahanap ni Daddy”

“God‚ don’t pressure me—”

“Dress up‚ Eleo Sebastian. Si Mr. Theodore De Roma ang kikitain natin‚ not just anyone” Eleigh said‚ her voice irritated as if she could see me still in my pajamas

“I know‚  Eleigh Imogen! No need to mention my full name” I replied irritably

TALA EUGENE

I learned the harsh reality of the world when I was just a child. My mom never liked me‚ pati na din sa mga side niya—It all started when I was 8 years old‚ and the whole angkan ng De Roma found out about my condition‚ na tinatawag nilang hermaphroditism. They hated me and never failed to show hate towards me

But despite everything‚ I had Ate Tally on my side. Maliban sakanya wala na akong iba pang pinagsasabihan ng aking mga problema because I didn’t want anyone to pity me or feel sorry for me.

Bitay nguso akong tumingin sakaniya‚ she narrowed her eyes “And what’s with that sour mood?” hindi ko alam kong anong unang sasabihin ko sakaniya.

Umupo siya sakaniyang gaming chair saka nagpang krus ma hinarap ako “Have you and Jaydon broke up?” Tila natutuwa pa niyang tanong‚ but I shook my head her smile quickly faded.

“Bakit ganyan ang mood mo?” Pagtakakang tanong niya

I remained silent‚ malungkot ko parin siyang tinignan “What the h3ll‚ Tala! Can you fr3aking speak? You’re scaring me” She said‚ slightly raising her voice

“I slept with a stranger” nahihiya ko pang turan.

“And?”  aniya at walang paki-alam sa sinabi ko.

“Yun lang reaksyon mo? That’s all I get from you?” Kunot noo ko pa syang tinignan.

“What am I supposed to do? I’d rather hear that kaya‚ kaysa sabihin mong hindi pa kayo naghiwalay ng jowa mo‚ kvpal” May himig na inis sakaniyang boses.

“Why are you so mean to him‚ Ate?”

I heard her sighed “Ever since‚ wala akong tiwala  sa lalaking yun”

“By the way‚ did Daddy tell you?”

“About Devon?”

“Hindi‚ about the Lascano’s invitation to us” She handed me the invitation on her bedside table.

“I haven’t heard that surname before. Bagong ka susyo ni Daddy?” I asked

“Oo‚ Dad took me to meet them just yesterday. 20th anniversary ng mall nila next week” Ate Tally‚ explained to me while I was busy opening and reading the invitation card
