Chapter XXI - Victim(s)

This is the only chapter I will include a TW for potentially throughout this entire series because a lot of current readers haven't read the updated description. There's a blanket trigger over this entire fit (‼️read description‼️) but it needs emphasis for this chapter because most of the triggers appear here. Stay safe gang.

EVER SINCE THAT call, Kamila has been on edge. A mole? Within the team?

No, that can't be. They were her friends.

Kaldur shared her disbelief, but they both agreed in the end to keep the revelation to themselves. Roy was made aware, seeing as he'd been there when sports master of all people revealed the information. And of course - seeing as they oversaw the team - Red Tornado and Batman were both taking lead on any potential suspects. Though, there was nothing so far.

The threat was clearly affecting Kamila, enough so that Wally noticed... which is what lead Kamila to today.

That day - despite he friend's pestering for coffee before class - Kamila walked to school. It wasn't a long walk, and even if it was, Kamila needed that time to herself.

So when the bell rang signalling the end of class, Kamila walked thought the front gates of her school with a lot clouding her mind. So much so that she didn't even realize-

"Hey what the hell-!" Kamila was cut off as her back slammed against the school's parameter wall, only for aslant to immediately apologize.

"Shit- I didn't mean to shove you that hard you okay babe?" Wally asked, stepping back to look her over.

Kamila laughed and pulled him in by his collar, pressing a kiss to his lips, "you're lucky you're cute, Flasher"

Wally grinned and grabbed her hand as they kissed, then pulled away and walked beside her, their hands still joined.

"What are you doing in central? Dont you have robotics after school today?" Kamila asked, it had been a bit since she saw Waly outside of costume. Maybe that was her fault, with everything going on lately, the mole and Batman's recent confession about her future, she hadn't been paying attention to her own life. Hell, with how often she trains (both for soccer and to hone her powers) she's barely seen her siblings recently. Point is: she's been neglecting her loved ones, hasn't she? And while she could go home right now and spend time with her mother and later her siblings and stepdad when they got home, all she really wanted was to spent time with Wally.

"It got canceled, something about the teacher's wife sleeping it's the principle so they could get the team more funding? I dont know," Wally shrugged, and Kamila took notice that they were on the way to the near by zeta-tube. "What I do know is that Kaldur is busy on an assignment with Au- Author and wont be back till 4:30, and that Megan and Connor wont be back till around the same time because of her cheer practice."

Kamila looked over to her boyfriend and smirked, "so what you saying in the cave will be empty for the next hour?"

Wally nodded, a teasing grin breaking across his face too, "yeah, and you now what that means?"
