| September 1, 07:58 CSTSEPTEMBER FIRST, 2010. Kamila believe she was a good person. Even outside of her costume, she tried to see the good in everyone and help those in need.
Yet, despite that, here she was. Her first day of senior year.
And about five seconds away from plowing her mom's old 2000s Honda Accord Sedan into the Starbucks window she was parked outside of if her dumbass friends didn't hurry the fuck up.
Now, you might be wondering, Kamila, what the hell? Aren't you a hero?
And to that, she'd have to answer with a loud-
HONNNNNNK!
Soon, two girls come rushing out. The one of the left - Selina Chase, probably Kamila's closest non-hero friend and the best ex-girlfriend she's had - held two small bags and a large drink in her hands. Though, she kept nearly spilling her drink with every time she attempted to fix her long black hair as the wind blew it into her light pink lipgloss. She wore a white cropped shirt and baggy ripped blue jeans, with fishnets underneath.
Next to her, with two phones hanging out the top of her black tang-top and nearly falling on the ground with every step, holding two Caramel Swirl Frappuccinos, was Gabriella 'Gabby' Capaldi. The girl's tanned skin compliment her blood shot blue eyes beautifully, which were a small parting gift from the edible she had eaten before getting ready that morning. She had a black hoodie tied around her waist and blue jean shorts which were probably going to get her dress coded.
Kamila honked the horn again and raised the up half of her body out of the window, "hurry the fuck up! We still have to pick up Mich and Jackson and classes start in fucking ten minutes!"
The girls started laughing as they nearly got hit by a passing car exiting the drive though. Soon, Selina was sitting in the passenger seat and with Gabby right behind her.
"Millie, you gotta chill!" Selina said, and Kamila groaned at the nickname, "they live like a minute away from the school, and Mrs. Glossier is totally fine if we're late!"
Gabby nodded, the stick from her cake pop sticking out of her mouth as she chewed on its remains, "yeah, at this point she expects us to show up ten minutes late. It's the whole reason we convinced Micheal and Charlie to take music this year."
Selina grabbed the drink Gabby started to hand to the front, placing in the cup holder for Kamila as she pulled out of the parking lot. The Raven haired girl giggled before she spoke, "don't let Charlie hear you call him by his first name Gabby, he's shove you into the boys' locker room and lock the door on you again."
Kamila rapidly tapped on the steering wheel as she waited for the light to turn from red to green. After a few seconds, she gripped the wheel and glared at the traffic light, activating her powers so her eyes shifted to blue, allowing her to hurry up and change the colour of the light.
Some people would argue that keeping in touch with not one, but three of your exes would be toxic. Some would even say that staying friends with them while dating someone else would be one step away from cheating. But, to that all Kamila has to say is: fuck these bitches are clingy.
Selina 'my only toxic traits are mild inconveniences' Chase has been one of her best friend since Kindergarten. They were always on the same soccer team, their mom's constantly taking turns on driving the two to games or practices. When the two were in eighth grade, the same year Kamila had met Wally, both girls had realized their feels towards each other weren't entirely platonic. That marked the beginning of a relationship lasting from march break of their eighth grade year till December later that same year, ending with the mutual loss of romantic feelings from both girls.
