Ivy had been living in Paris for about two months now, she wanted to go home, but she loved the life she'd built for herself in Paris, it was never intended to be permanent, she had to return home at some point, everyone was probably wondering where she'd gone. She needed to talk to someone, she wanted to call Marjorie, that was her best bet.
She sat in her apartment, and dialled Marjorie's number, it rang for a few minutes.
"Hello?" Marjorie answered the call sounding rather clueless.
"Hey." Ivy said shyly.
"Ivy?" Marjorie raised an eyebrow.
"Yeah.. sorry I shouldn't have called you." She apologised.
"No- no, it's fine. I just.. I shouldn't be talking to you." She sighed.
"If my mum threatened you, don't listen." Ivy demanded.
"Whatever, where are you?" Marjorie asked.
"On my way to the airport." Ivy smiled.
"Y-you're coming home?" Marjorie swallowed.
"Yes." Ivy nodded. "I miss you."
"I missed you too sweetheart." Marjorie felt tears running down her cheeks.
"How about, we meet again, act like it's the first time again." Ivy smiled.
"I'd love that."
"I'll see you soon then." Ivy said as she hung up.
Ivy got on the earliest flight to London, and she got the train from London back into town, she rushed home, as quick as she could.
She felt a sense of comfort as she walked toward Marjorie and Reece's home, she knocked the door and stood waiting for a few seconds, which felt like hours to her.
Marjorie opened the door and Ivy threw her arms around her, the two stood there, just hugging for a moment.
"I've missed you so much, you don't understand." Ivy sobbed.
"I know darling, I know. Are you hungry? Reece isn't home yet but I could attempt to cook.." she giggled.
Ivy laughed. "We know your cooking skills aren't the best, I can wait." She smiled as the two sat next to each-other on the sofa.
"How are you my love? How was Paris?" Marjorie asked.
"It was the best trip ever, we should go some time, I needed that fresh start but I'm so glad to be home." She smiled.
"I'm glad you're home too sweetheart." Marjorie smiled with a hand on her bump.
"Wait I've just realised- I've been gone two months." Ivy started.
"You didn't notice? It is November now my love." Marjorie laughed.
"Exactly, it's November.. it's baby month next month!! Have I been gone that long?" Ivy laughed.
"Clearly." Marjorie giggled as she stretched.
"Well how's it going?" Ivy asked. "Are you nervous?"
"I'm petrified." Marjorie laughed. "I know I'll be alright though- I've got Reece." She smiled.
"He is good to you." She smiled. "I'm shattered, I might head to bed, guest room free?" She asked.
"Always." Marjorie nodded. "I'll be up shortly, I'm gonna wait for Reece."
_______________
A week later..
Ivy had been staying with Marjorie and Reece for about a week, she wasn't planning on staying long term, she wanted a place of her own.. she didn't want to live with her wicked mother, she just wanted to be independent, and maybe have a little apartment, close enough to Marjorie and Reece's house.
