Clara sat on her sofa, the house felt cold and empty without Ivy, but Clara knew it was for the best. She then rang Roger.
Roger answered the phone. "Hello?"
Clara took a deep breath before talking. "Roger, how lovely to hear your voice again." She spoke.
"Clara Rhodes, I thought we were done. No more deals Clara.. we're done. For good." Roger spat.
Clara laughed. "I wouldn't call this a deal old Roger, let's call it a favour."
Roger rolled his eyes. "Why would I be doing you any favours?"
"Because I think you'll find this one rather entertaining." Clara began.
"I see." Roger cracked a smile.
"Tell me all you know about Marjorie knight." Clara demanded.
"Ah, my daughter in law. You want to know about her?" Roger chuckled.
"Yes. I don't have all day Roger hurry up." Clara spat. "What's her maiden name?" She asked.
"Marjorie van Gould." Roger smiled.
Clara was lost for words. "T-the van Gould property empire family?" She sounded worried.
"Indeed." Roger nodded. "Unfortunately, I don't know much else about her. She plays her cards rather close to her chest, you see." Roger sighed. "She doesn't speak much about her past." He added.
"I can't believe this.. she comes from that family? I can't compete with her!!" Clara began to panic.
"Complete? Clara, what exactly were you planning on doing." Roger asked.
"I want revenge, she stole my happiness, so I will destroy her, if it is the last thing I do." Clara shouted passionately.
"Mhm, unfortunately I can't let you do that.." Roger began.
"Why?" Clara yelled.
"It pains me to say it, but Mrs knight is rather good at her job, she's also married to my son and is the mother of my granddaughter whom I'm still yet to meet.." he sighed. "It looks like you're on your own Clara."
"Very well, I'll find another way. I will always find another way." Clara said angrily as she hung up.
She had no help, she needed to think long and hard about what she would do to Marjorie.
_______________
That same night, Marjorie and Ivy arrived home. As Marjorie unlocked the door, Reece came rushing over with Serena in his arms.
"How's she been?" Marjorie asked as she took Serena from Reece.
Reece smiled. "She's been as good as gold."
Marjorie rocked Serena in her arms and tickled her slightly. "Thats good to hear, let's get you a bottle shall we sweetheart?"
Marjorie wandered off into the kitchen with the baby in her arms, leaving Reece and Ivy stood in the hallway.
Reece cleared his throat. "So... how do you feel about living with us now?" He asked.
"I couldn't be happier." She smiled.
"Good, I'll take your bag upstairs for you, is this all your stuff?" He added.
Ivy shrugged. "I guess it is."
Reece carried Ivy's luggage up to her bedroom. Ivy went looking for Marjorie, who was stood in the kitchen feeding Serena.
Serena let out a little cry. "Don't cry my love." Marjorie spoke softly as she ran a finger down Serena's cheek. "I'm here, and I love you." Marjorie smiled. Serena had her tiny fingers wrapped around Marjorie's thumb as she admired Marjorie with her glistening blue eyes.
