I wake up with sunlight shining down on my face, and an empty space beside me. I look on Peeta's pillow and I see a note.
"Hey Kat, I am off to the bakery breakfast is on the table, I will be home around 1 or 2. I love you, Peeta" ❤
I walk downstairs to go eat my breakfast and I decide to watch the news. I see Caesar Flickerman on the with a purple hair color.
Hello ladies and gentlemen I am sure you are all wondering what our star crosses lovers are doing. Ha Ha. He laughs.
Well last month they were caught at a fancy diner with Peeta on one knee.
They pull up a video that was taken when Peeta proposed to me.
How could they do this! Now the whole capital is gonna know and there will be so much paparazzi. They will practically be following us everywhere.
We already get enough paparazzi, but now everyone will be trying to get any information about the wedding or if we have kids.
How dare they do this.
I decide to go to the bakery to tell Peeta because this is not okay and I know he will be pissed if I am.
I get dressed in a black tank top and some jean shorts because it is so hot outside.
I braid my hair down my back and say bye to buttercup. I walk outside the door and head to the bakery.
The bakery is not very far, it is like a 5 minute walk.
I walk into the Mellark Bakery and notice Peeta is not at the front only one of the workers Molly. Hey Molly have you seen Peeta?
Yes he is in the back with James.
Okay thanks. Are you guys open yet? I ask
Not yet we open in about 30 minutes.
Oh alright.
She walks towards the back and I start to follow her and I feel someone grab me. He brings me very close to him and smirks.
I try to scream for Peeta but he covers my mouth.
Hey darling. He says.
I realize this is another one of Peeta's workers, but he never shows up and Peeta has been trying to figure out a way to fire him. His name is Noah
You look beautiful. He says running his hands on my face.
I start to cry and try to call for Peeta, but he slaps me.
I try to run away, but he grabs me by my tank top so I cannot move.
He takes his hand off my mouth to kiss me, but before he can I let out a blood curdling scream that echoes through the bakery.
Peeta comes running out and as soon as Noah sees him he releases me. James and Molly come running over to help me up.
Peeta lets me into his arms and I just cry into his shoulder.
I hide behind him so I don't have to see the horrible man that tried to kiss me.
"What the Fuck were you doing!" He screams. She tried to kiss me. He says. No you tried to kiss her, you were grabbing her.
I would never, she is ugly. Says Noah.
Peeta slaps him right across the face and gets very furious by the comment he made. For your fucking information she is beautiful and you are fired.
If I ever see you touch her again I swear to God I will kill you. He says.
You also better not come back into this bakery.
Get the hell out of here! He screams.
He runs out of the bakery with a fearful look on his face and all I do is cry. He holds me in his arms and tries to calm me.
Molly and James can you guys take over today I need to get her home. He says.
Of course Peeta. I will see you later. They say.
Okay thank you. He says.
He picks me up and I wrap my legs around him and burry my face in his neck. He walks me out of the bakery and sits in the driver seat with me on his lap.
I cry so hard I can barely breathe.
Darling it's okay it's over he's gone. I wont ever let him put a finger on you. He says.
What did he do to you? He notices the big red mark on my cheek.
He slapped me when I tried to yell for you. When he tried to kiss me I screamed so loud hoping you'd come. I cry.
Kat if your ever in danger I will always find you and protect you, no matter what. He says cupping my face with his hand. We better get home to ice your cheek.
Peeta.
Yes honey.
They showed you proposing to me on the news. Paparazzi is never going to leave us alone now, they will be following us everywhere.
We will take care of it. Don't worry.
Okay. I say.
He picks me up and puts me in the passenger seat. He gives me a quick kiss and starts to drive with my hand in his.
When we arrive we walk inside and I sit on the couch as he gets me some ice.
I hope this doesn't bruise to bad because in three days we are leaving to go to district 4 for the wedding.
He puts some ice in a bag and gives it to me.
I rest it on my face and it cools down the burning pain. He slapped me really hard that all the blood rushed to my cheeks and wont go away.

I get in the shower to get ready for bed and wash my hair with coconut shampoo and conditioner. I scrub my body with vanilla scented body wash.
I hop out of the shower and wrap my hair in a towel.
I got changed into one of Peeta's t shirts and put some lotion on my face. I put some body oil on my legs to hydrate them and walk downstairs to grab some water.
I see Peeta on the couch watching cake boss.
I sit down next to him and he wraps his arm around me. I laugh because of how focused he is on the show.
What. He says smiling.
Nothing you're just way too obsessed with this show. I giggle.
Whatever. He says.
We better head to bed it is getting really late. I say while filling up a glass with some ice and water.
Fine let me just finish this episode there are 5 minutes left. He says
Okay. I laughed.
I hop in bed and put my water on my bedside table. I took off my ring and necklace that Peeta gave me and turned off my lamp.
Peeta walks in the room and lays in bed next to me. I lay on his chest and listen to his steady heartbeat till my eyes start to feel heavy.
I eventually fell asleep in the loving arms of my soon to be husband.
