After the rebellion

This feels right

*Katniss Pov* 

*2 months from last chapter*

I have been much better recently, and I feel that I am now back on my feet. 

Peeta has moved in now, and it was not even planned he was just here so much he would bring some of his clothes in and it kind of just happened. 

Tonight we are having dinner with Johanna, Johanna's boyfriend, Annie, Effie, and Haymitch. 

Both Annie and Johanna moved to 12 in the victors village because they both said they felt so alone sometimes. 

Effie has also moved in with Haymitch and she is a very different person. She still has her fancy Capitol accent but she dressed normal and lets her wavy blonde hair fall naturally. 

She also doesn't wear too much makeup and looks normal

Peeta opened a bakery in the same spot his family's old bakery used to be. 

I am much healthier and am no longer as skinny as I was. I also have not cut myself since Peeta came home. 

My wound is healed but is still a small scar that is on my forearm. 

My hair is even longer than it was before and almost reaches my butt, and I really need to cut it soon. 

I am laying in bed and I hear Peeta downstairs making me some breakfast. 

He walks in with a plate of fluffy pancakes with some milk and sets it on my nightstand. 

"Good Morning beautiful." He says realizing I'm awake.

"Morning handsome." I say. 

He gives me a quick kiss on the lips and walks back downstairs. I eat my breakfast and walk downstairs. 

I see him in front of the sink washing some dishes, and I decide to scare him. I snake my arms around his waist and he jumps. 

"God Kat you scared me". He says. 

I giggle and I drink some water on the counter. 

"Hey that's mine". He says. 

"Mine now". I laugh.

"Wanna go to the woods today?" I ask. 

"Sure, let me just finish cleaning up real quick." He says. 

"Okay I'm going to get ready."

"I go up the stairs and walk into our bedroom and I get some jeans and wear a dark green shirt and put on my hunting boots."

"I put my long hair in its signature braid and I walk downstairs." 

"Ready." He asks. 

"Yep lets go." I say.

We walk through the woods in the sunny weather hand in hand and I admire the beautiful scenery. 

I have always loved the woods and it always just makes me feel so peaceful. 

Before Peeta came home I would usually walk through the woods to clear my mind because it made me feel calm and would make it seem like everything was okay. 

"Even if it wasn't"

I remember coming here and sitting by the lake my dad would always take me to and I would cry until I had no tears left or until it was dawn. 

I snap out of thoughts and there is a comfortable silence that fills the air. 

In the distance I see me and Gales spot, and I also see a tall figure with brown hair, olive skin, and a muscular structure.
