After the rebellion

You're safe

*Katniss Pov*

I am so afraid, it feels like I'm in a never ending nightmare. I am in a dark room filled with cobwebs and dust. I am chained up against the wall. 

Someone walks in with a mask and I realize this is the same person who kidnapped me last night. 

He takes off his mask and reveals his face. 

"It's Noah" 

I begin to panic, I remember what he did to me last time, I don't think I could ever forget. It still haunts my dreams. 

I want my Peeta, I just want to snuggle up in his arms and take in his sweet peppermint scent. 

"Hello Katniss." He says to me. 

"Please let me go." I plead. 

"Well of course not darling I haven't even done anything to you yet, and I am not planning to let you go anytime soon. "

"Remember last time? When you got me fired. You will pay for that, and you'll pay for kicking me in the shins as well." He says in a low voice.

He walks over to me and presses his lips to mine. I try to resist, but then he slaps me in the face and grabs me by my hair. 

He keeps my mouth presses to his with a firm grip. I start to cry. 

He pulls away and he hits me with a whip hard. It leaves a mark, and my arm begins to bleed. He punches me in the face which gives me a bloody nose. 

"Don't cry or else you'll get hit." He says angrily. 

He presses me against the wall and begins to kiss me again. His hand slips under my tank top and I let out a tear. Luckily he does not notice. 

His phone begins to ring which causes him to let go of me. 

"I'll be back, but I am not done with you." He says firmly. 

He leaves the room and I sob into my knees.

About an hour or two later he comes back into the room, and is in a bad mood so he hits me more. 

I curl up in a ball as he beats me with a whip

*Peeta Pov* 

I am driving to the abandoned house that Katniss might be at. My poor girl I miss her so much, and I'm sure she misses me. 

I am never letting her out of my sight again. 

I pull up to the address that was said on the news and I realize the door is locked. I break down the door and I walk to the first room I see. 

I notice that it is empty, and I decide to look in the next one. 

I open the door, and I see her getting beat with a whip. I realize who is hurting her. Noah my old worker. 

I run to her and guard her from the whip. I get hit, but I don't care. 

She is covered in bruises and blood. She sits their crying not realizing that I am here. 

"What are you doing to her!" I yell at him. 

"This is what she gets for getting me fired!" He yells back at me. 

"I was going to fire you anyway! You were a horrible worker, and you hardly ever even showed up.'

He punches me in the face, and I punch him back. I push him to the floor and take the whip from his hands. I begin to beat him till he cannot get back up. 

I call the cops and tell them the situation and the address of the house. 

"Kat." I say to her scooping her up in my arms. 

"Please leave me alone." She says to me shutting her eyes firmly and covering her ears. I pry her hands of her ears so she can hear that its me.

"Kat, Its okay darling its me." I say to her. 

She slowly opens up her eyes. "Peeta." She cry's. 

"It's alright darling you're safe now." I say to her. 

"She cry's into my shirt and I run my hands through her hair and I give her a kiss on the forehead." 

The cops come in the room and they arrest Noah. 

"Thank you." I tell them. 

"No problem." They say to me. 

I pick Katniss up and I bring her to the car. I take my shirt off to wipe off all the blood running down her arms. 

I wrap her in my coat and I get into the car and set her in my lap while she cry's. 

"Kat shh shh its okay he's gone now." I say to her. 

"Peeta, he kiss- kissed me and hit me." She says to me with a trembling voice.  

"He kissesd you?" I ask baffled. 

"I'm sorry." 

"Kat don't be sorry. It's my fault I should have found you sooner I hate myself for it , I was looking everywhere for you. I say to her. "

"I love you Peeta." She says to me. 

"I love you too Kat, so much." I say to her. 

I begin to drive back to Victors Village, and when we arrive I put in the code to unlock the gate guarding the houses. 

I carry her into the house and I set her down carefully on the couch and wrap her in a blanket. I get a damp towel and I dab it on her cuts.  

After she is all cleaned up I sit next to her and she cuddles up against my chest. I rub her arm and she begins to close her eyes. 

Once she is asleep I carry her upstairs bridal style, and I take her to our bedroom. I lay down in the bed with her in my arms, and I cover her with a blanket. 

I hold her tighter than normal, and I am ready to protect her from any nightmares that may haunt her dreams.

About an hour later she begins to start shaking violently. She cries and keeps screaming, "leave me alone!" I know she's having a nightmare about Noah. 

"Shh Katniss its not real. I say trying to shake her awake." Her eyes shoot open and she begins to cry. I sit up and she sits in my lap crying into my shoulder.  

Once she calms down I lift her face up by her chin and look into her beautiful gray orbs that are filled with tears. 

"Do you want to talk about it?" I ask her. 

She shakes her head. 

"Okay, try to go back to sleep darling if you have another nightmare I will be right here."

"I love you, Peeta."

"I love you too." I say to her putting a strand of  hair behind her ear. 

I give her a peck on the lips and she lays back down onto my chest. I hold her hand and I start to fall asleep.
