*Peeta Pov*
Today is the day I am going to ask Katniss Everdeen to be my wife. I wake up with the sunlight shining down on my face.
I have to get out of bed to go make Katniss and I breakfast.
It takes awhile though because she is laying on my chest and I don't want to wake her. She looks so peaceful when she sleeps.
I eventually get her off me and I walk downstairs to make breakfast.
I decided to make some cheese buns because it is Katniss's favorite breakfast. I grab all the ingredients I need and I start to make them
Once I am done Buttercup finally wakes up and runs down the stairs. He rubs his head against my leg, and I know he wants food.
I get the food out of the pantry and grab his bowl. I put the wet food in the bowl and mix it around. I pour some water in his other bowl and I put it down on the floor and he scarfs it down.
I let the cheese buns cool and I pour some water in a glass for Katniss. I need to go pick up her ring, so I decide to write a note so she does not worry.
Hey Kat I will be at the bakery before you wake up there are cheese buns cooling on the counter with a glass of water. I'll see you soon. Love Peeta.
I put the note on her nightstand and I put on some shorts and a t-shirt. I walk out the door in the beautiful sunny weather.
I hop in the car because the ring shop is pretty far away. I start the car and open the gate of Victors Village.
I pull up to the shop and I walk inside the store. I see a girl with long brunette hair green eyes and fair skin.
"Hello, I'm Marissa." she says in a flirty way.
"Peeta." I say uninterested. She's pretty, but come on she is not as pretty as my Katniss.
"So what are you picking up?" She asks smiling.
"A ring for my girlfriend." I tell her to let her know I am taken.
Her smile drops and she goes to the back looking for the ring.
"Is it this one?" She asks annoyed.
I see the ring with the diamond band and the pearl that I gave Katniss during the Quarter Quell. She was going crazy looking for it.
On the band it has K+P engraved on it.
I know she will love it.
"Yes." I say taking the bag from her hands.
"Have a nice day." She says.
"You too." I say. I walk out of the shop and I hop back in the car. Our house is at least thirty minutes from here, so I have a while.

I pull up to the house and I get out of the car. I open the door quietly and put the bag somewhere she wont find it.
"Kat I'm home!" I yell
She comes running down the stairs and embraces me. "Kat I was only gone for about an hour."
"I know, but I hate not seeing you in the morning." I laught at her comment.
"I was thinking we could maybe go to dinner tonight at this really nice restaurant." I say.
"Yes I would love that!" She says.
"Alright i'll call them and make a reservation."
I went to the kitchen to call the dinner place that I heard was very nice. I am going to ask her to marry me there.
I dial the number of the restaurant and run my hands through my hair as the phone rings.
"Hello how may I help you today?" Asks the person on the phone.
"Hello can I get a table for two at 6:30 please."
"Sure what name would you like to put it under." She asks.
Peeta Mellark."
"Okay sir we will see you at 6:30." "Thank you have a nice day."
I hang up the phone and sit on the couch to watch cake boss.
About an hour or two later I decide to go get ready. I hope in the shower and wash my hair and body.
I get out of the shower and put on some jeans and a black dress shirt.Hey Kat. I say as she walks in the room.
Hey I am almost ready I just need to change, so we can leave soon.
Alright I am going to head downstairs and feed Buttercup.
I walk downstairs and I grab his food out of the drawer and I put it into his bowl.
After he finishes eating Katniss walks downstairs, and she is so beautiful I am too stunned to speak.
I stare at her wavy long brown hair and her red dress the frames her body perfectly.
"Why are you staring at me!" She says hitting me in the arm.
"Sorry you must have been so beautiful I could not take my eyes of you." I say.
"Whatever lets just go." She says while blushing.
We hop in the car and we drive about 10 minutes to the restaurant.
We arrive and we walk hand in hand into the restaurant.
"Table for two under the name Peeta Mellark." I say.
"Okay follow me." Says the waitress.
They sit us outside under a beautiful flower arch with lights and a fountain with a couple other tables surrounding us.
We both sit down and admire the scenery.
"This is beautiful Peeta!" She says.
"Not as beautiful as you." I say.
"Oh stop it." She says.
We both order and eat our dinner. I know now is the time for me to ask her.
I stand up from my seat and I get down on one knee and pull the box with the ring out of my pocket.
"Katniss Marie Everdeen. I love you with all my heart and I hope you will always know that."
"You are the most beautiful women I have ever laid eyes on, but that is only one amazing thing about you."
"You also have the most caring personality, and you're also a little stubborn." I laugh.
"I could go on and on about how amazing you are, but I'll just leave it at that."
"I am so lucky to have you and you will always be my everything."
"Katniss Marie Everdeen, will make me the happiest man alive and marry me? "
A small tear slips down her face as she holds her hands over her mouth.
"Yes Peeta! I will marry you!" She says.
I embrace her and pick her up and spin her around in my arms.
"I am so lucky to have my fiancée."
