*Katniss Pov* 

I wake up and hop out of bed to wash my face. I grab my face wash and scrub my face clean of all the dirt. 

I dry my face with a towel and then walk downstairs. I walk in the kitchen to see Peeta making pancakes. 

"Morning."

"Good morning Darling, you're up early."

I guess so. I say wrapping my arms around his strong chest. 

Breakfast is almost ready, why don't you go sit down. He says.

I give him a small soft kiss on the lips and walk over to the dining table. He puts a plate of fluffy pancakes in front of me and I start to eat.

He sits down next to me and smiles. Can we plan our wedding? I ask smiling.

"Sure, Kat where and when would you like to have it?"

"I would love to have it in district 4, maybe in like a month." 

That sounds amazing. He says smiling. 

"I also would love for Haymitch to walk me down the aisle because he is the father figure in my life."

"I'm sure Haymitch would love that."

"Who were you thinking could be your best man?"I ask him. 

"I was thinking Gale, we have gotten very close lately."

"Alright so Gale will be your best man and for my bridesmaids I was thinking Johanna, Annie, and Claudine."

"That sounds good." He says. 

"Alright we should probably go tell everyone that we're engaged. I laugh realizing we have told no one." 

"Lets do it."

We walk out of the house and walk next door to Annie's house. She ended up taking Peeta's house, so we are neighbors. 

I knock on the door and she answers with a smile on her face. 

"Hey guys what's up!" She says with Finn in her arms.  "We have something to tell you."  "Alright what is it?" She asks confused. 

"Peeta and I are engaged, and we were wondering if you'd want to be one of my bridesmaids!"

"Oh my Goodness! I am so happy for you two." She says. 

I give her a hug and then she hugs Peeta. "Alright we better go tell everyone else." I say happily 

"Alright see you guys later." She says feeding Finn a bottle. 

I walk outside of the house and walk next door to Haymitch's and Effie's house. 

I walk in the house and I find Haymitch on the couch watching some TV while Effie drinks tea in the kitchen. 

"Hey you two what's up?" He asks. 

Effie walks in the living room and she gives me and Peeta a hug. 

"We have something to tell both of you." Says Peeta. "Did you get her pregnant boy?" He asks. No. I roll my eyes. 

"We are getting married!" Peeta says. 

Effie has an astonishing look on her face and hugs me and Peeta once again. "Congratulations you two." Says Haymitch. 

"I was thinking you could walk me down the aisle Haymitch." I say.  

"I would be honored sweetheart." 

"We all say goodbye and Peeta and I head to Gale and Claudines house. "

I knock on the door and Claudine answers with Lillian in her arms asleep sucking her thumb. 

"Hey Katniss!" Come in I need to go put Lillian in her crib. She says.

"Gale is Hunter put to bed?" She asks. "Yes"

We walk in the house and Peeta and Gale pat each other on the back and I give Gale a quick hug while we wait for Claudine. 

"Hey guys what's up." She asks walking into the living room. 

"We have some news." Peeta says. 

"We are getting Married." I squel. 

"I am so happy for both of you!" Says Claudine hugging me. 

"Congrats Man." Gale says to Peeta. 

"I am happy for you Catnip." "Thank you Gale"

We all say goodnight because its getting quite late.

We walk hand in hand back to our house in Victors Village. 

I walk up the stairs while Peeta turns off all the lights and locks the door. 

I get changed into one of Peeta's t-shirts and he walks into the room and takes off his shirt then hops into bed next to me. 

I lay on his chest and I listen to his steady heartbeat that was once not steady in the Quarter Quell. I don't even realize I am crying.  

Peeta's chest is wet with tears and he sits up and notices I am crying. 

Kat what's wrong? He asks scooping me up into his lap. 

I- I just remembered the time your heart stop- stopped in the Quarter Quell when I was listening to your heartbeat. 

"You were dead." I say crying. 

Shh Kat its alright, I am alright now aren't I? He says. 

I nod my head and he gives me a kiss on the lips and runs his hands through my hair. You should get to sleep now darling. He says. 

He lays back down and I lay on his chest closing my eyes. 

I will soon be "Katniss Mellark."
