Traveling and memories

*Katniss Pov* 

I pack the last of my stuff in my suitcase and put it by the door right by Peeta's bag. I sit down at the dinner table and eat the cheese buns Peeta made me. 

After I eat I walk out the door and grab Buttercups stuff and drop him off with Greasy Sae. I knock on her door and she takes him and all his stuff and I thank her. 

She was invited to the wedding, but she had to stay and take care of her kids. 

I walk back to Victors Village and open the door and get dressed in some legging's and a sweatshirt. 

We have to meet up with everyone from 12 in 10 minutes at the train station. 

Peeta grabs our bags and puts them in the trunk of the car. I hop in the passenger seat and Peeta sits beside me and starts the car. 

We drive about 5 minutes to the station and meet up with everyone. 

Our train leaves in 7 minutes and Johanna and David are still not here. I swear if Johanna makes us miss our train I will be so mad at her. Says Gale. 

If you say anything she'll probably get her axe. Says Peeta laughing. 

They finally come running up 1 minute before our train leaves. 

Finally. Says Haymitch. 

Shut up. She says annoyed. 

We walk on the train and all get assigned a room for the night. We will be there tomorrow at 7 am. 

I realized the train they gave us is one of the trains they used to escort tributes to the Capitol. 

"This is the train we used" 

I know because I see the dent in the table when I stabbed it with a knife. I also remember my way around this train like the back of my hand. 

I see that Peeta looks a little overwhelmed by the memory, so I grab his hand to calm him. 

He takes a deep breath and leaves to go put our suitcases in our room. 

I notice that the room we were assigned was the same room I had that Peeta would spend the night in when I had nightmares. 

As soon as we walk in the room he knows this is the room I had. 

He sits down and takes a deep breath and closes his eyes shut. He clutches the handle of the suitcase. 

I sit down next to him and try to calm him. 

I whisper sweet nothings into his ear to soothe him. 

He snaps out of it and a small tear goes down his face. I hate seeing him cry he is always the strong one for me, now its my turn to be strong. 

He holds back his tears because he doesn't like to cry in front of me, because he thinks it makes him look "weak". 

"Its okay to cry Peeta" I say soothingly.  

I embrace him and run my hands through his wavy blonde hair.

About a couple hours later everyone goes to the dining car to get some dinner. 

I get some pasta and bread with a glass of water. Even Capitol food isn't as good as Peeta's cooking. 

Annie and Claudine are feeding the kids while all the boys watch some football game that's on. 

I help them with all the kids and we decide to put them down for a nap and watch a couple of movies. 

About 4 hours later the boys come in interrupting our movie to make sure we all get to bed. We gotta head to sleep. Says Haymitch. 

What time is it. I ask Peeta as he sits next to me. 

Its 10:30 Kat, we gotta be up early tomorrow.  

Alright. I say yawning. 

Everyone get the hell out of my room. Peeta says jokingly. 

Everyone laughs and heads to they're rooms for bed. I get dressed for bed and brush my teeth and wash my face. 

I sit on the bed next to Peeta who has a blank expression on his face. 

Are you okay? I ask putting my hand on his strong shoulder. 

Yeah. He says. 

Just so many memories come flooding back on this train. I am sorry about how I acted earlier. He says. 

Don't be sorry baby. I say. It's not your fault and I know it's hard for you. 

He smiles and turns of the lamp. Lets head to bed Kat we have a big day ahead of us tomorrow. 

Stop sounding like Effie. We both laugh and I fall asleep on his chest.
