Salman had been losing it too, similarly to his brother, ever since Ranya refused to speak to him. She had even went as far as to block him, that much was clear when his text messages weren't going through. But he knew he had to do more than just concoct stupid plans with Sana, he had to do something that would actually help split up Saad and Ranya.

Since he was back in town, it wouldn't be very hard to 'accidentally' run into her, and it would be even easier to make it look like they had something going on. He had been talking to his mother, trying to fill her head with anything he could against Ranya, thought it hadn't really been working. But he wasn't willing to give up, as long as he got Ranya back to himself, he couldn't care less about what he had to do.

And she was a great source of information. He figured, sooner rather than later, Ranya and Saad would have some kind of problems, and that's when he could swoop in, but first he had to get Ranya to warm up to him again. It was going to take some time, but he head dead set on getting his way.

His dad, Dua, and obviously Saad, were all still very upset with him, rightfully so, neither of them having reached out since the day he decided to pop back up. It was his fault that their family was still a topic of gossip, his actions affecting everyone, especially Dua, after Ranya.

That's why nobody had bothered to invite him to yet another family get together, except it was slightly larger this time. Since Dua was engaged, her parents figured they should invite her fiancé and his family to their winter trip. Headed outside of the city, a short couple hour drive, everybody made their way up north. Including Saad and Ranya, begrudgingly of course.

"Did you grab the skates?" Ranya asked, making room in the trunk of her car, since she had the well suited vehicle for the kind of weather they'd been facing lately.

"Yeah, but are they going to fit?" Saad asked, staring at the mess before him. Shoved together, boxes of paper, art, and stationary items like crayons, pencils, markers, rulers snapped in half. "Looks like Staples in here..."

Rolling her eyes, she pushed some things aside, shoving the loose items into the box and figuring she'd worry about them later, there wasn't much in there anyway. "Yes, it'll fit." She grabbed the skates from him, each still in their boxes.

"I'm driving." Saad declared, heading towards the drivers seat. Ranya couldn't care less, in fact she much rather preferred being the passenger since it meant she could make up some of the sleep she lost. It was going to be a semi-long trip, so she had to get in all the rest she could since she knew she'd have to put on quite the performance. And she wouldn't have to talk to him.

Placing her head against the window, she closed her eyes as soon as the car began driving, her mind wandering off about her worries, as per usual. That's why it was so difficult to sleep the past few weeks, the fear that people would find out what her life was really like and what was really going on between her and Saad. But then, after stressing for some time, wasting probably an hour by worrying, she'd eventually fall asleep.

The drive was long, but calming for Saad. He had always liked driving, and cars intrigued him from a young age. Not enough to pursue any kind of career that had to do with cars, but enough that he pushed himself to get his license the moment he turned 16.

Drives were great, especially long ones because he got to zone out a bit, contemplating his problems and how to go about solving them. Of course, as it had been for the past weeks, he was thinking about non other than Ranya.

Glancing at her, the sound of her light snoring brought a smile to his face that he tried to bite back. He hadn't thought about it, but he realised then that he hadn't seen her sleep. It sounds strange, and it's not like he had thought about her sleeping, but noticing the fact that she lightly snored was endearing to him.

"Hey, we're here." Saad lightly shook Ranya, having made his way to her door before unbuckling her seat belt for her, the scent of his cologne bringing her back to life.
