Blinded by the tears welling in her eyes, Ranya was thankful the Uber arrived before Saad could catch up to her, if he even cared to.

'Not that he would', she thought to herself, standing outside out of sight with the crisp wind freezing her tears.

After what he said it was clear he didn't feel an ounce of what she felt towards him. Not once in her entire life. It's something she didn't want to know, but now had to live with.

Seated in the back, she bit her bottom lip to keep the tears from pouring out. The last thing she wanted was to cause a scene, whether that was infront of a crowd of the man driving her home. Staring out the window, she felt numb. A weird buzzing sensation overtaking her as she tried to understand what she had uncovered.

It all started making sense. Everything that had happened so far, between them and behind her back began to add up. She just couldn't figure out why he'd go out of his way to marry her if he didn't want to. If it was Sana he had wanted, there wasn't anything stopping him from having her, yet he married Ranya, and for what?

After Saad had received his award, the couple was overwhelmed with tons of Saad's coworkers congratulating him and pulling him in all sorts of directions. Eventually Ranya had gotten tired and realized she should go to the washroom and make sure she looks alright, just something she would usually do, especially before pictures would be taken. She had no idea this was the best and worst thing she could have done.

Taking some time, she made sure to touch up her hair and her makeup. She wanted to make sure her outfit was still presentable, especially since she was around some pretentious people. And because she needed a break after that scene Sana had made. She needed to calm down, away from the crowd before she could head back. Seeing Sana be so brazen with her admiration towards Saad was almost enough to make her crack right then and there, but she hadn't approached him all night so Ranya thought ahead could let it go.

Putting some lipgloss to top off her lip combo, Ranya took one last look at herself before deciding she should head back before her disappearance seems strange. She figured Saad would be where she left him, making her way to the same spot.

At first, she was fine. She didn't have too much bothering her, besides Sana. But Sana had seemingly backed off and left them alone, or so it seemed. Ranya stood corrected when she noticed Sana suddenly standing before Saad. Rolling her eyes, she figured she might as well interject when she heard the heart shattering statement.

"Saad just admit it! You wouldn't have married Ranya if it wasn't for your brother leaving, would you?" Sana asked, leaving Ranya lost as to how she could have possibly become the topic of conversation. With furrowed brows, she stood behind Saad, ready to hear something similar to the last time Sana had insulted her.

"No, no I would have never married her, I-" Ranya froze, the blank look on her face disappearing into a look of pain. Before she could react further, Sana stared directly at her, a smug smile dancing on her lips.

"Ah!" Sana interrupted, pointing behind Saad, with furrowed brows his gaze followed the direction her finger pointed.

As he turned around, Ranya noticed the colour draining from his face, as if he had been caught. Essentially he had, he was caught expressing his true feelings. Seemingly to the woman he trusted more than his wife. That too in public, surrounded by his coworkers whom Ranya had spent the night lying to. He didn't care if people heard, he didn't care if it embarrassed her, he said it anyway. That thought was enough to push Ranya off her feet, having her race towards the door before either Saad or Sana could see her shed her tears.
