"You're in a good mood." Ranya's sister observed, standing in the doorway of her older sisters room as Ranya bounced off the walls to start packing.

She had been in a good mood. Much happier than the past few weeks, mostly because she was going to see her nani after so many years and make her a part of her wedding. But also, as much as she didn't want to admit, part of her way happy because Saad had made the idea come to life.

He had been the one to propose it, and he had truly been the one to take care of everything. Somehow he had managed to convince the vendors to return all of her deposits, from the caterer, to the photographer, to the florist, the planner, the decorator, and even the venue. It was unbelievable but he had made it happen.

"Yeah, I guess I'm just excited to see nani again." Ranya told her, packing away some last minute items into her suitcase.

"Why are you guys going first again? Wouldn't it be kind of fun to go as a family?" Her sister asked, taking a seat on the bed as she played with some of the clothes Ranya decided to forgo.

"We have to plan everything from scratch, and technically since he's decided to pay for it, it's only fair if he has a say in it." Ranya reminded her, yanking the clothes she had been playing with from her hands.

"I guess." Her sister rolled her eyes, hopping off the bed to instead play with the items toppled over on her vanity, "But you're really okay with compromising your dream walima?"

"Yeah, I'd rather have nani there." Ranya replied, her phone buzzing a couple of times followed by her doorbell ringing. Turning to her sister with wide eyes, she realised she hadn't packed everything and Saad was already here to pick her up.

"Can you shove those clothes and these things into that bag!" Ranya hurriedly asked, rushing out of her room before her sister even had time to reply. She knew how much Saad hated being late, and she knew she hated it too, but the habit of oversleeping was to blame for this moment.

Zooming down the stairs, practically jumping off of them, she launched towards the door abruptly opening it catching Saad by surprise. Looking quite flustered, Ranya kept herself from heaving from that sudden exercise.

"Everything okay?" Saad asked, eyebrow raised as he stepped inside, eyeing Ranya suspiciously.

"Mhmm" Ranya nodded, humming as she looked past him at his car wondering how she'd fit all her luggage in the trunk of his sporty sedan.

"It's just that, um... I'm still not done packing everything. But I'm so close!" Ranya lied, avoiding his gaze as she held back the telltale expression that somehow always gave away the fact that she was lying. It was always solely Saad who could tell too.

Letting out what Ranya assumed to be a sigh of disappointment, Saad asked, "How close?"

"Uhhh.."

Amused, Saad let out a laugh at her nervous demeanour, catching her by surprise "It's alright, I came early just incase something like this happened. Let me help you." He gestured over to the stairs, waiting for her to lead him to her room.

Wanting to decline, thinking it would be a little strange, Ranya hesitated for a second before nodding her head and silently making her way to her room. This was not the ideal situation she had always wanted Saad to see her room in. When they were younger, and her crush on him was in full swing, sometimes, when she was bored, she wished he'd do the things they do in movies.

She would imagine he'd throw rocks at her window. Nothing huge, just small pebbles, enough to make a sound, not leave a mark. She'd rush to her window, wondering who it could possibly be and it would be none other than Saad, standing in the rain, waiting for her to open the window.
