A/N - This chapter was inspired by the song You by Miley Cyrus and is set a few years after the events of the Stranger Things series. I hope you all enjoy it.

"Princess," Billy hummed softly, squeezing your knee lightly and watching as you stirred under his touch. You'd fallen asleep a couple of miles back, lulled to sleep by the hum of the Camaro's engine and the rumble of the road beneath the tyres, the soft music playing in the background doing nothing to hold your attention long enough to keep you awake. "Sweetheart, we're at the hotel," he pressed, reaching over you to undo your seatbelt for you, his touch gentle as he woke you fully, your eyes blinking open to find him observing you carefully.

"What time is it?" you grumbled softly, stretching out your limbs as you woke, your shoulder clicking as you over-extended it slightly.

Billy tore his eyes away from you for just a second, glancing at the clock on the dashboard. "It's not even 8 pm yet, Baby," he teased gently, returning his bright smile to you. "And you've been dead to the world for the last half hour," he added, watching as you rubbed at your eyes, trying to clear them of the lingering sleepiness.

"It feels later," you murmured, leaning forward to glance through the windscreen at the hotel. "Is it too early to go to bed?"

"We can go to bed if you want-"

"But we should do something fun here, right?" you interrupted, your eyes falling back to him. "And we've got to be on the road tomorrow morning," you pressed on. "So we need to find something to do tonight."

He chuckled slightly. "How about we dump our stuff, go find the closest bar, have a couple of drinks, and then we can go to bed?"

"We did that yesterday," you reminded him softly.

He let out a grumble of disagreement. "We didn't just have a couple of drinks last night," he corrected you. "We got drunk enough to get kicked out of that bar at 1 am, Sweetness," he added.

You hummed softly, pulling your bottom lip between your teeth, remembering the way you'd stumbled back to your room last night - well, technically, this morning - and curled up in bed together, a mess of tangled limbs and sheets.

"That was fun," you confessed, grinning at him.

*Time Skip*

It hadn't taken you long to check into your room and dump your stuff, opting to have a couple of drinks in the hotel bar rather than running around all night trying to find somewhere else to go. After a couple of drinks, the two of you on the nice side of tipsy, you suggested an adventure around the building, wandering from the bar through the lobby, and into the big reception room on the other side, the vaulted ceilings almost taking your breath away as you'd stepped in, hardly noticing the merry-makers on the dance floor.

"Baby," Billy hummed softly, his grip on your hand tightened slightly, drawing your attention back down from the intricated gilded moulding that lined the top of the room. "Sweetheart, this is a wedding," he added quietly. "We should head back-"

His words trailed off when you glanced up at him, your eyes all soft and loving. "Just one dance," you bargained, knowing damn well that Billy had never truly been capable of telling you no, even when you weren't turning on the doe eyes that had always worked wonders for you.

He let out a soft hum, followed by a short nod. "One dance," he agreed quietly. "But then, we head back to the room and have an early night, alright?"

Your tongue darted out to wet your bottom lip as you nodded your understanding, turning to face him fully, and drawing his hands to rest on your hips as you began to sway to the music. "I like this song," you told him, backing the two of you towards the dancefloor full of strangers, seemingly unphased by the looks of confusion you were getting from the wedding guests.

You supposed it did look a little strange, a mysterious couple meandering right into the middle of the celebrations in jeans and t-shirts, and already a touch tipsy. But deep down, there wasn't a place you would rather be, because right here, with Billy, the world seemed perfect.

"It's a pretty song," he agreed quietly, pulling you even closer, letting you tuck yourself into his chest, grinning up at him as he moved the two of you to the music. "Almost as pretty as you," he added, leaning down to press a chaste kiss to your lips and drawing a soft snort of laughter out of you.

"Damn," you chuckled. "Didn't realise I was that pretty," you teased, watching as his nose wrinkled up in annoyance.

Even if he knew you were kidding, the idea that you would ever think you were anything but perfect always riled him up. After all, he'd spent the last 4 years trying his hardest to prove to you just how drop-dead gorgeous you truly were. And Hell, he was going to spend the rest of his life proving it, too.

"You're ten times prettier than any song I've ever heard," he grumbled, his face still close to yours, his breath fanning over your lips as he spoke. "Ten times prettier than anything I've ever seen, too," he pressed.

You reached up, wrapping your arms around his shoulders, smiling the most beautiful smile Billy had ever seen. "Thank you, Baby," you breathed softly, leaning in just enough to press a gentle kiss to his lips.

"You're welcome, Sweetheart." The music began to fade slightly, shifting into something quicker, less romantic, and Billy's hands returned to your hips, steering you away from the dance floor slightly. "Come on, Baby. Bedtime."

"But-"

"We had a deal, Babe. One dance and then we stop gatecrashing and head to bed," he interrupted, turning you around and giving you a light swat on the ass to get you moving towards the exit. "Got to make sure I'm well rested so that I can chauffer my girl to our next spot tomorrow," he added, his arm draped across your shoulders as you reached the doors.
