"Rohit", called Virat softly kneeling infront of him not caring about ruining his expensive suit.
His soft voice seemed to reach Rohit who looked up at Virat, the tears-- Virat didn't like it one bit, the tears and vulnerability in Rohit's eyes.
"Calm down and take deep breaths", the deep cold voice always had an effect on Rohit which made him listen to Virat in any state.
Virat rubbed his arm soothingly, he wiped the tears from Rohit's cheeks. With that soft touch Rohit felt himself getting back in the present and the words ringing in his head seemed to fade away and he could only feel Virat's eyes and touch on him.
"Better?", Virat asked and Rohit nodded.
Virat got up and forwarded his hand to him, Rohit took it getting up from the floor. He made him sit on the couch, gave him water.
Aman came back and gave Virat the dark chocolate leaving them alone.
"Have this, you will feel better", said Virat passing the chocolate to him. Virat sat on the couch beside him reading the two files Rohit had given him.
Rohit was so confused and overwhelmed with everything that Virat was doing for him.
"It tastes so bitter", said Rohit having that. Virat looked at his child like expression due to the bitter taste.
"You have never had dark chocolate?" asked Virat to which Rohit nodded in no.
"It will calm your heartbeat, have it a little. I will order something sweet for you", said Virat getting up and sat on his chair. Rohit saw him on the phone and back to his files again.
"Can I ask you something?", Rohit asked quietly but audible in the silent cabin where there was only occasional shuffling of papers from Virat looking for something.
Virat didn't look up, "sure go ahead", he replied back.
"Did something happen in the meeting today with other employees over the presentation?", Rohit finally asked taking a deep breath.
Virat finally looked at him, Rohit saw the pen held tightly in his fist, his eyes cold which intimidated him a bit.
"You know what happened and you let it affect you at this extent that you could not breathe. There is difference being kind, helping others and then being naive, the day you understand the difference Rohit, you will be okay", said Virat with his professional mask.
Rohit was surprised by that, the words hurt him a bit. He knew they were using him but he was just thinking of the company which Virat had built with so much effort and hard work. He just didn't want anything to ruin that.
And whatever people say to him including Virat, he was not gonna change that. He would keep giving his efforts to make this company, to make Virat reach the heights it deserves.
Rohit sat on his chair and resumed his work, he saw Virat moving to the balcony. He was engrossed in his work when there was a cheesecake infront of him. And it was the one he liked.
He looked up to see Aman giving a soft smile to him and moved to the balcony to talk to Virat.
"How do they know my choices?", he thought.
While he was having he noticed Aman and Virat having some serious discussions where Virat looked quite agitated and Aman was calming him down somehow. He thought Aman was just his PA but they looked quite close as Aman had kept his hands on his shoulder.
For a moment, Rohit felt something different seeing them close but he quickly focused on his work.
"I hope we get this deal Aman, it is really important", said Virat taking out a cigarette and lighting it up.
"We will get it Virat, you should really stop stressing over it. You have been overdoing it, it's not good for health", Aman said gesturing the cigarette in his hand.
Virat looked ahead, "how can people be so kind?", he asked.
"Talking about Rohit?", Aman asked seeing him deep in thought and then saw Rohit happily eating his cheesecake.
Virat nodded, "Some people are, Rohit is one of them. The nature he has it's so rare, he cares a lot about you and company it seems", Aman answered.
"As if one was not enough to do that", Virat said sadly chuckling. Aman just rolled his eyes at that comment.
"Stop rolling your eyes at me, get to work"
"Can I give you a hug?", Aman asked to which Virat nodded in no knowing Rohit was in the cabin.
Aman sighed, "He sees through you-- you won't be able to keep this mask for long specially infront of him", he said and left from there.
Virat moved back to the cabin and resumed his work. Once Rohit was done with his file, he could not help but observe how Virat was multi tasking with his work and multiple clients.
"All the meetings done for the day Aman?", Virat asked Aman as they were on the video conference with a client and then it was only him and Aman. Aman checked the calendar, "done", he replied.
Rohit was literally relieved on his behalf, it was 8 pm and Virat was in meetings for literally 4 hours straight.
He noticed Virat taking off his blazer keeping it neatly on the chair. Folding his sleeves of white shirt only to reveal a tattoo on his left arm. Rohit would deny but for that particular moment he could not help but feel how hot his boss was.
"Rohit, do u need something?", Virat asked looking at his laptop typing something. Rohit was startled a bit, "no sir, the remaining files are done", he said quietly.
"Bring it over", Rohit handed it over to him.
"I will review it, have your dinner in the meantime-- Aman would be waiting for you in the cafeteria", said Virat opening the file.
"Your dinner?", Rohit hesitated but asked anyway.
"Aman is waiting Rohit", Virat said instead which was his cue to leave at that moment.
Rohit quietly left the cabin.
