The next morning, Aman woke up first and saw himself cuddling with Jassi, who was holding him tightly by his waist.
Aman stared at him, feeling happy that he had found him. He was excited and nervous about the idea of them living together forever.
"Baby? What are you thinking so early in the morning? It's just 5 a.m.," Jassi mumbled, pulling him closer.
"Nothing important, we can go back to sleep," Aman said, burying his face in Jassi's chest and pulling the comforter over their faces.
Aman knew Jassi was still waiting for an answer, as he couldn't hide things from him.
"It's nothing serious, Jas, I am just excited and happy that we'll be moving in together," he said with a smile on his face, keeping his chin on Jassi's chest.
"I can see that with this smile," Jassi said, caressing his cheek. "I am looking forward to it too," he said softly, leaning down and kissing Aman's cheek.
Aman just moved closer and buried his face in Jassi's neck, and Jassi wrapped his arms around him, getting some more sleep.
Virat's sleep broke first. He noticed Rohit holding his hand tightly and leaning his head on it.
He slowly removed his hand from his hold, kissed his forehead, and covered him properly so that he could get more sleep.
Virat got freshened up and went into the living room to see Aman making coffee. "Good morning, bhai," Aman greeted him.
"Morning. Did you sleep well? Do you feel a migraine or anything due to yesterday's travel?" Virat asked, feeling concerned.
"Bhai, everything is okay—don't worry," Aman said, reassuring him and passing him a cup of coffee. "Jassi still sleeping?" Virat asked, taking a sip of his coffee.
"Yeah, he didn't sleep the whole flight—he was keeping an eye on me and helping me with that motion sickness," Aman explained, to which Virat nodded.
Aman looked at Virat, who was calmly sipping his coffee as they sat on the balcony. "Kya puchna hai, Aman?" Virat asked.
"Aapko kaise pata lag jaata hai humseha?" Aman whined, pouting, to which Virat just pulled his cheeks.
Aman took a deep breath. "Kuch puchna nahi hai, batana hai," he said, to which Virat encouraged him to go on.
"I asked Jas to move in with me in Mumbai permanently," Aman said, to which Virat looked at him, surprised.
"Move in with you? Mumbai, I understand—even I don't want him to be alone, but with you? Are you guys ready and sure about it?" Virat asked. He wasn't doubting their relationship, but he was just concerned about them. They both were important to him.
"Yes, bhai, we are. You know, he is very nice and he cares about me so much and you know—" Aman stopped to see a smile and teasing look on Virat's face. "Bhai," he whined.
Virat put his arm around him. "Kiddo, I trust your judgment and I trust you. Have you even told him that you love him?" he asked gently, kissing the top of his head, feeling emotional about how his kid had grown up. He also made a mental note to tell Rahul bhai about it.
"Oh shit, I didn't," Aman said, shocked, to which Virat laughed loudly.
Aman pouted at that. "Even you didn't tell Rohit," he said, as Virat was teasing him.
"Kiddo, we have a lot of things to go over—there are unsaid things we need to sort out first," Virat said, knowing how important it was to do that.
Aman nodded in understanding. "Also, bacha, my advice is that you always be honest with each other no matter what it is and how hard it is—understood?" Virat said, cupping his cheeks, to which Aman hugged him. "Yes, bhai," he said.
"Good morning, sleepyhead," Aman greeted Rohit, who came out of the room rubbing his eyes. Aman went to their room to check on Jassi.
Virat hugged Rohit. "Feel better?" to which Rohit nodded, his head buried in his shoulder.
They sat there for sometime when Rohit removed his head from Virat's shoulder.
"Have coffee. Aman has made it. I have to make one call, freshen up, then we'll have breakfast," Virat said, patting his cheek.
Virat went into the balcony. He had to inform Rahul bhai— he needed to know about his kid.
Before he could make the call, he heard Jassi scream. Virat ran to their room, and Rohit followed.
"Aman!" Rohit yelled as they saw him unconscious on the floor with Jassi patting his cheeks.
Virat froze in his step upon seeing that. Rohit shook him, and he rushed toward his kiddo.
"Aman, kiddo?" Virat patted his cheeks, but there was no response. They picked him up and took him to bed. Virat sprinkled water on his face, but he was still unresponsive.
Virat composed himself and called their doctor, who would be arriving in 15 minutes.
"What happened suddenly?" Virat asked, caressing Aman's forehead.
Jassi looked at Aman. "He came in the room talking about breakfast, and then suddenly he clutched his head and stomach. In the blink of an eye, he was unconscious. I have no idea what happened suddenly," he said, his eyes moist.
They just kept waiting for the doctor to arrive.
