Robin's POV
"You. Dumb. Fuck," hindi ko napigilan at binatukan si Maximilian.
The atmosphere lightened together with the plants, and flowers blooming because of the king's laugh.
He sounded so happy but I can't stop myself from killing this idiot.
"Hey, that's enough," hinawakan niya ang dalawang kamay ko. "You had fun right?"
"All I felt was the urge to kill you," pabato kong binawi ang aking mga kamay. "I'm never going with you again."
"Admit it, you had fun," ngumisi siyang muli ngunit agad sumeryoso ang kanyang mukha nang may makitang mga bampira na dumaan sa gilid namin.
"What if I leave you here?"
"You can't do that," kampanteng sagot niya. "You have to protect me since you're the one who's with me."
Seryoso akong umiling.
"But I do not need protection, you know that."
Right, Maximillian might be an idiot but he's one of the strongest people in Wistervale. He won't be king if he's weak and can't protect his people.
I stopped walking when I felt someone's presence near us.
"Are you good?" humawak si Maximilian sa bewang ko nang makita na huminto ako. "Robin?"
I wanted to look at who it was because the presence was too familiar. My body won't react this way if it isn't him.
"Maximillian," tawag ko. "Go back to Elidoria, I'll meet you there."
Kumunot ang kanyang noo at nagsalubong ang makapal na kilay ni Maximilian. "I can't leave you here."
"You can," saad ko.
"What are you planning to do, Princess Robin?" seryosong tanong niya.
"A fool is staring at me, he thinks I can't feel his presence," iling ko.
The idiot Maximilian looked behind me to search who I was talking about. "Do not! Fuck! Maximilian!" hinampas ko ang likod ng ulo niya dahil sa ginawa niya.
"Hey! You're abusing a king!"
"I do not fucking care."
Fuck. The music inside the palace stopped, and then I realized the vampires surrounding me and Maximilian.
"Fuck," buntong hininga ko.
"Oh fuck," ganun din si Maximilian. He knew the situation we were in because Maximilian rarely cuss.
"This is your fault," kalmado ko pa rin na sabi.
Dahan dahan akong lumingon sa mga bampira at doon ko nakita sila na nagtataka habang nakatingin sa amin.
Amon walked towards us with an awkward smile as if he was telling me something was wrong.
"Alis na kayo..." he mouthed.
I frowned.
"What do you want?" tanong ko sa mga bampira na tila kakilala ko lamang sila.
"Someone told us that an enemy entered our lair," sagot ng bampirang nangninigas ang mga mata.
"Should we look for them?" nababagot kong tanong.
I do not know why I'm not scared, we were surrounded but I can't seem to fear our situation.
Even Maximilian is casually cleaning his royal clothes like there was no enemy around us.
"Ano ang ginagawa mo at tila hindi ka kinakabahan?" tanong ng bampira sa kanya.
