Robin's POV
I watched as royalties, councils, and guards from other cities entered the palace gates. They were greeted but trumpets and our guards.
Everyone was present, leaders of all kinds of creatures living in Wistervale are here.
Evette was standing in front bowing his head to the royalties.
I can't seem to take this seriously especially when Maximilian arrived with his usual smirk, women inside the palace squealed at the sight of the handsome king.
"Robin," agad na lumapit sa akin si Maximilian nang makita ako.
Rinig na rinig ko mula sa aking kinatatayuan ang dismayadong buntong hininga ng mga babae.
"Don't come near me, those women are disappointed."
"Oh?" lumingon siya sa mga babae at kumaway making them yell.
And one... fucking passed out because of his wave.
"Help her!" natatarantang sambit ng guard.
For fuck's sake.
"Old friends," ngumisi si Blair nang dumating ang nymph.
He calls them old friends because he has killed a lot of them before.
"Ang yabang mo," nakasimangot na sabi ni Magnus. "Marami rin akong napatay nuon noh!"
Tinapunan lang siya ni Blair ng tingin.
The empress smiled when she noticed a familiar howl coming our way.
"Sebastian," nakangiti nitong sambit sa pangalan ng kaibigan.
"Love," agad na pinulupot ng hari ang kamay niya sa bewang ng empress. He's fucking jealous when they're already married?
"Hey, look," hinawakan ni Maximilian ang ulo ko at siya na mismo ang nagpatingin sa akin ng kasuotan niya.
"Fuck you, Maximilian," reklamo ko dahil sa ginawa niya.
"Shh, hinaan mo ang boses mo. Others might hear you," tumatawang sabi niya. "What do you think? Is it good?"
He was pointing at the diamonds in his suit. It looked nice so I nodded and gazed back to the gates.
My heart hammered when I realized that the protection above was glowing. I guess vampires are coming?
But why is the protection breaking? Did they come with bad intentions?
I was about to call the empress when I realized that she didn't seem to notice that something was wrong.
Maybe it's just me?
"Maximilian, do you feel something weird?"
"Yes!"
"Really? The pr—"
"I don't smell like roses today because Veronica said I should smell like lavender for this occasion."
I sighed. It's really just me who feels this way.
Everyone fell silent when the vampires arrived in front of us.
Amon's eyes were wandering around and his jaw was dropped a little while watching the palace made of ice and diamonds.
"Puta," I could read his mouth from this distance.
I refused to look at his king, ramdam ko kasi mula dito sa kinatatayuan ko ang titig niya sa akin.
They were with Sidra, and five other vampires, I guess they're the council?
