CH 63- The Happy Ending

"Has my baby's tummy filled up?" I asked, looking down at my little doll.

Hearing my question, she giggled, almost as if answering me. She then yawned, signaling that she was feeling sleepy.

I continued to caress her gently in my arms, and soon enough, she fell into a peaceful sleep. Once she was sound asleep, I carefully laid her down on the bed.

Just then, I heard the sound of the shower running in the bathroom. Arjun must have been taking a bath.

Many days have passed since that day, and now I can truly say that my family is complete-me, Arjun, Papa, and our little Arya.

After losing my father, I was completely shattered. I never thought I'd have a family again. But as they say, life is like a book filled with surprises on every page-anything can happen at any time.

Finally, everything is fine now. We're all very happy, living together like a true happy family. And Arya, she's our lucky charm-she came into our lives and made everything right. I am so happy!

After some time, Arjun came out wrapped in a towel, his body still damp from the shower.

My eyes fell on his well-built frame, and I couldn't help but gulp hard. He looked so hot.

I have noticed one thing about his behavior. He didn't come close to me anymore. He didn't try to touch me like he used to. That feeling, that void inside me, was eating me up. Maybe I was being shameless, but I wanted my husband to love me, to touch me, to desire me. I knew deep down that he loved me, but why didn't he show it? Why was he pulling away?

I took a deep breath, trying to push away the growing sense of longing.

I got up from the bed and walked towards him, wrapping my arms around him from behind.

Arjun was startled for a moment but then turned to me, gently stroking my cheek with love before pulling me into a warm embrace.

"What happened?" he asked softly.

I shook my head, unable to find the right words. As I looked at our reflection in the mirror, a wave of self-consciousness washed over me.

During my pregnancy and delivery, I had gained a lot of weight. But now, I was slowly getting back to my shape. It's not like I hadn't worked hard for it-I had done everything from dieting to exercising, even yoga. Despite the changes in my body, I kept wondering why he was behaving like this.

"Is Arya asleep?" he asked, pulling me from my thoughts.

We pulled away from the hug, and I looked into his eyes.

"Yes, after drinking her milk, she fell asleep again," I replied, offering him a small smile.

He smiled back.

Arjun truly was an amazing father. He loved his daughter so much that I never had to worry about her.

I placed my hands gently on his face, feeling the warmth of his skin. As I gazed at him, my eyes landed on his lips. The urge to kiss him hit me like a wave.

Without thinking, I leaned in, but as always, the moment he realized what I was about to do, he gently pulled away.

"I have an important meeting at the office, so I might be a bit late. Don't worry, okay?" He said, trying to change the subject.
