half an hour passed before san finally woke wooyoung up, pressing gentle kisses to the boy's head.

"wooyoungie~ time to wake up, my love. my parents are home," san spoke sweetly.

"mm~"

"need some more time, angel?"

"no... w'nna meet 'em," wooyoung yawned out.

"alright, love... did you rest well?"

"mhmm..."

"good. i'm glad, woo. i was really worried earlier."

"you didn't need to be..." wooyoung muttered, leaning into san a bit.

"i know... i just... with everything going on, seeing you as panicky as you were when we got here had me worried. i was afraid that you would have a bad panic attack and end up making yourself sick."

"a-afraid?"

"for your wellbeing, my love. not of you, never," san reassured, noticing how wooyoung's face had twisted into a guilty one.

"sannie...?"

"yes?"

"do you think yeosangie and hwa will be safe while we're gone?"

"i do... they're strong, not to mention that they have the others all there if they need them."

"i just... i don't know why he's back, but it's scary. i'm scared. i know what he wants, but i just... i don't want anyone getting caught in the crossfire."

"yeosang wants to get the police involved, woo. if he keeps this up... would you be okay with that?"

"p-police?"

"if he keeps on stalking all of you... if he puts anyone in danger."

"oh... um... okay? i-i think. i just don't know, honestly..."

"that's okay, my love. it's up in the air right now anyways. we don't have to keep talking about it right now."

wooyoung nodded, sitting up a little and stretching.

"should i change? d-do i look okay?"

"you look beautiful, woo~ you always do."

"sannie," wooyoung pouted. "be serious. do i look put together enough to be meeting your parents?"

"you do, angel... i promise."

"okay," wooyoung whispered, combing through his hair with his fingers. "then i'm ready to head down..."

"alright, angel. let's go~"

the two boys headed downstairs, fingers laced together. san kept a tight grip on the boy's hand, knowing how it kept wooyoung feeling grounded to have the pressure for him to focus on.

"san, darling? is that you?" the boy's mother called out, hearing the steps on the stairs.

"yeah, it's us, mom."

the woman entered the room as the two made it to the bottom of the stairs, immediately smiling and opening her arms to give wooyoung a hug. wooyoung was hesitant for a moment, but san gave his hand a squeeze and gave the younger all the courage he needed to accept the hug.

"it's so lovely to finally meet you, wooyoung," she spoke, joy in every word.

"it's so great to meet you too~" wooyoung greeted.

"san has told us a lot about you... well, after he finally told us he was seeing someone."

"how long did it take for you to tell them?" wooyoung asked san curiously.

san blushed darkly, looking at his feet a bit.

"um... well? it was around christmas, so we had been together for a while."

"san!" wooyoung said in shock.

"hey! i was scared... i didn't know how they'd feel about me being gay," san muttered, shrugging.

"oh, san... you should know we don't care who you're dating, as long as you're happy. that's all that matters to us."

"see, sannie?" wooyoung smiled. "just like my mom told me when i came out to her. she told me that it didn't matter what my sexuality was, that she'd support me as long as i was happy."

san smiled and pulled wooyoung close, hugging him warmly.

"ah, my sannie..." wooyoung muttered softly.

"you are the sweetest thing, wooyoung. and i can tell i'm going to absolutely love your mother when i get to meet her someday," san's mom smiled.

"she's going to love you too, i'm sure of it. she'll probably thank you too... for raising san to be the amazing person he is."

"well... i should probably thank her too. for raising you to be the wonderful man you are. you've changed my san for the better, wooyoung. i can't thank you enough for all you've done for him."

"me? do enough for him? ma'am... i think you're mistaken. san has done far more for me than i've done for him."

"woo... baby, she's right. you've done more than you think for me. you saved me from myself, from my anxiety and all that. and that's not even half of it.

"she knows what she's talking about, i promise."

"oh..." wooyoung blushed. "well... i'm glad i could be someone for you to lean on."

san smiled brightly and kissed wooyoung's temple, gently rubbing his back.

"your father is in the kitchen if you'd like to say hi, san. i'm going to be heading out to the garden."

"okay! wanna go meet my dad, woo? or do you need a minute?" san asked softly.

"we can go... i'm doing pretty good right now."

"good, that's all i needed to hear. if it gets to be too much, you just tell me, yeah?"

"i will..."

the two boys made their way into the kitchen, where san's father was getting things together to make dinner.

"hi dad," san greeted.

"san! it's so good to see you. and you must be wooyoung, right?"

"it's nice to meet you, sir," wooyoung said, nodding.

"it's great to meet you too. you make my son very happy."

"he makes me the happiest i've ever been," wooyoung shared. "thank you for raising him to become such an amazing guy."

"ah... i can't take credit for all of it. his mother influenced him far more than me, i like to think. he's a smart boy though, he's chosen good friends who have helped him become an even better person."

"ah... jongho is the best," wooyoung agreed. "he's dating my best friend and he treats him perfectly."

"jjong has influenced me a lot... i'm lucky to have him."

"you sure are, son. i'm going to get to cooking dinner now, you two go rest."

"would you like any help, dad?"

"i'm all set, san. you go relax a bit."

the boys nodded and headed back up to san's room. once they were inside, wooyoung sighed in relief, grateful that everything had gone well.

"how are you doing, my love?" san asked softly, sitting beside wooyoung on the bed.

"good... that went well. makes me happy."

"good. i'm glad. would you like to rest some more?"

"mhmm~"

"alright, let's lay down."

the two curled up beside one another and wooyoung's body relaxed, finally at ease in the arms of his lover. he didn't have to worry about any pain, he was able to focus on living in the moment.

and that was enough for him.
